Saw the show on bullfighting which was well curated with art new and old and a vintage film to whet the appetite...the pay once come and go entrance fee is great for taking a lunch break in this beautiful town...paintings everyone can enjoy.

The permanent collection is excellent and the temporary exhibitions are a cut above the ordinary. Ceret is a small town and the Musee is very accessible.

Despite being only partially open (and therefore free entrance!) we thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits and discovered some new names, particularly the varied works of Pinkus Krémègne which span his life until the age of 90, and also Chaïm Soutine. If all these aren't enough for you, I suggest you go to the tourist office and pick up a leaflet called... More

Only part of the museum is open as they prepare for a Goya exhibition. Due to the limitation, entry is currently free. You can still see some Picasso's and other worthwhile works but you may wish to wait for it all to reopen. We had been before so weren't too disappointed.

Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Chagal, Manolo, the museum's founder, and a powerful 1920 painter that must haven a drunk, stoned myopic and/or astigmatic whose name is Chaim Soutine. His paintings of Ceret alone are worth the trip. Also look for the number game throughout this gem of a museum. Imagine Picasso's Blue Lady up close? Here yes, MOMA no

This is a small venue with a variety of modern art painters over the years, Pablo Picasso and painters of his time. Most interesting to me was a display of resin cast "Flowers" and a show of modernly created plants that responded to movement. Very different!

The museum in the heart of the town is a delightful and relaxing space. However, the permanent collection is limited with a mixed set of works of mainly local interest despite the big names. If you are making a journey to Ceret just to see museum the do check out the current exhibition before you visit, otherwise do take pot... More

Chagall, Picasso, Matisse all are represented, plus there was a temporary exhibition called Fractal flowers. Great fun to make the flowers grow and move! A shame the reception ladies missed their charm school classes...

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees is small town of Ceret. Snuggled in this community is a darling museum. Not overcrowded, not overwhelming, and not overpriced. Great collection of Picasso plates, a few Chagalls, some Matise, and local artists. If you want to lose yourself for an hour this is the place to do it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this art gallery small but with great pieces of art without the masses. In fact I had the joy of little school children enjoying these masters of art.agree with all comment loved this. Plus the town of Ceret is a charmer.
