Chagall, Picasso, Matisse all are represented, plus there was a temporary exhibition called Fractal flowers. Great fun to make the flowers grow and move! A shame the reception ladies missed their charm school classes...

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees is small town of Ceret. Snuggled in this community is a darling museum. Not overcrowded, not overwhelming, and not overpriced. Great collection of Picasso plates, a few Chagalls, some Matise, and local artists. If you want to lose yourself for an hour this is the place to do it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this art gallery small but with great pieces of art without the masses. In fact I had the joy of little school children enjoying these masters of art.agree with all comment loved this. Plus the town of Ceret is a charmer.

The lovely little market town of Ceret in the Pyrenees made such an impression on several of the great painters of the first half of the last century that they donated works and thereby helped to create a superb museum of modern art. In addition to the collection, among others works by Picasso and Matisse, there are very good temporary... More

This is an excellent little art museum in a lovely small town situated between the Pyrenees and the coast and having a beautiful historic core. The museum houses a permanent collection of Picasso ceramics - quirky but brilliant as you might expect. It also has excellent temporary exhibitions which change with the seasons. If you are near by I would... More

There is a permanent exhibition which includes many ceramics by Picasso and some beautiful drawings by Matisse but my favourites are the works of André Derain. Every year a supplementary exhibition is staged featuring relatively modern and sometimes current artists. Well worth a visit followed by a gentle stroll and exploration of this delightful Catalan town.

The museum is in a fantastic location. The museum itself was sponsored by Picasso and has some excellent items including pottery painted by Pablo himself. It is well worth a visit and had good toilets. The only downside was the 8 euro entrance fee.

A wonderful museum, complemented by paintings of Ceret, posted around the town. New exhibitions as well as a permanent collection, including pottery by Picasso depicting bullfights.

Unsurprisingly what with Ceret apparently being the 'Cubist Mecca' the gallery features many Picasso (though its a matter of taste, not in our opinion his best) We loved the exhibits though, local artists especially, with some beautiful, thought provoking, playful and fun installations as well as some stunning originals from the famous. The space is air condition, the staff are... More

The gallery is very easy to find in the centre of Ceret next to the Tourist Information Office. The gallery is not large so most people will be around in 1-2 hours. There was an interesting exhibition by Miquel Barceló. The gallery is fully air conditioned and open throughout the day. Prices Full price .................8€ Reduced price...............6€ Free admission for... More
