My friend and I were in Sarlat for two days. It is a very charming town that we would have missed on our vacation in the southwest of France except that that is where the Lascaux Caves are located. With so much to see and so little time, we took the Dordogne in a Day tour. Marion was our guide... More

Bonjour Lifeisatrip99, Thank you so much for your kind review. The Dordogne region is certainly one of the most incredible and fascinating destination of France and the All Dordgogne day tour that you followed does not pretend to make you discover the whole region in a day (that would be pretentious) but to give our clients the most out of... My husband and I were the only 2 people on the "All the Dordogne in a day" tour. Our guide Annelise was superb in her knowledge and spoke excellent english. Her relaxed attitude combined with a good knowledge of the history of the prehistoric man and the cave paintings allowed us to concentrate in the experience of the moment. At... More

I would highly recommend the full-day tour of Domme, Beynac, and La Rocque Gageac. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. There were only 3 of us on the tour, and it was like a private tour for us! We learned and saw a great deal that day. It was enjoyed by everyone!

In October 2012, we took the 1/2 day Ophorus tour from Sarlat to Rocamadour. Marion, our tour guide and driver, spoke excellent English, and was very informative. As she drove, she conversed with us about local special agricultural products (mushrooms, truffles, walnuts, chestnuts) and cuisine, and pointed out the castles as we passed. As we walked through Rocamadour, she explained... More

My friend and I took a half day tour of the Dordogne with Ophorous. There was only one other person on the trip with us and it was a marvelous introduction to the area. The guide was extremely knowledgable and friendly and provided the perfect balance between and educating and relaxing experience. I would highly recommend the company to anyone... More

We were in Sarlot for five days. On three of those days we used Ophorus Tours. Since we had no desire to drive, Ophorus seemed like a perfect solution. We were not disappointed, quite the contrary. We spoke minimal French however our Ophorus tour guide Marion had a good command of English. As she drove, Marion was able to provide... More

This was a wonderful experience on the two days we joined the day tours. We were very fortunate in that on the first day we were the only tourists and on the second day, only one other tourist on the bus that held seven/eight people. We had a great day, the ladies on both days who drove the buses were... More

I took 2 day tours with Anne lise who was full of knowledge about the area and the caves. Our group each day had 3 to 4 people which made the tour very personal. The van was comfortable and we went on the back roads and saw the beautful countryside. The tours made my visit to the area a memorable... More

We had a great day on this tour. We chose to take a tour as we were on a tight schedule and only had one full day in Sarlat. The town has a very pretty medievil section which is quite large with lots of shops and restaurants. A good base for viewing the local caves, and other dordogne activities. We... More

Where can you combine spectacular viewpoints over a castle-studded landscape, a boat ride taking in hundreds of years of history while you glide past stunning castles and fortresses, and then actually visit a half dozen of these same castles all in the span of four hours? Why, the Dordogne of course! The tour was superbly planned, departing the must-visit town... More
