Calvi is so beautiful. We went in May and the weather was lovely, and the city itself was not busy at all. The citadel is a must see. It is so beautiful, with mountains on one end, and the sea on the other, as well the citadel itself is nice to see and people still live there. I would recommend... More

Calvi is a nice city and the citadel is a must see in corsica. Calvi is a bit upmarket and expensive though.

Calvi is a must see place. Such a picturesque port with pretty harbour and long stretches of golden sand. The citadel is well worth seeing and has stunning views from the walls.

We visited Calvi which in itself is a lovely port demonstrating that Corsica is a beautiful island which needs to be explored! The guided tour we had as a part of our Thomson Dream cruise led us all around the Citadel and other heights Absolutely fantastic views so take your camera! Well worth a visit and a slow walk around... More

Calvi was one of the ports we visited and we decided to sight-see independently, even tho my mother was in her wheelchair. We were tendered to the port (short tender) and got fairly easily to the main street, walked up there to the citadel. My mother decided to stay outside the citadel and enjoy the view as it would not... More

As compared to the Citadel in Bonifaccio, that houses an entire old city, there isn't much inside the Calvi Citadel. It is small, but very old and impressive, and was built to defend the city many many years ago. 13th century? 14th? So for that it is amazing. Great views, old cobbled stone streets, the disputed birthplace home of Christopher... More

This is a nice place to take a stroll with beautiful views of calvi. The area is of minor historic importance so just enjoy the atmosphere and shops. I think it would be really great to visit at sunset. Allot about 1 to 1 1/4 hours to walk through and take planty of photos.

Nice place, sandy beach, beautiful harbour. The citadel was very interesting but quite small. Nice train ride up along the coast
