Make sure you have your camera. Cracking views all the way to the top, quaint alleyways and very old building, little cafe near the top and a few restaurants.

Lovely and atmospheric. We walked up to find a slightly underwhelming exhibition of the French Foreign Legion (although the boys enjoyed it) and had a drink at a cafe in the little town within the citadel with the most incredible views across the harbour and the bay to the mountains beyond. Not much else to do but a nice little... More

The climb up in not for the faint hearted, but the views are definitely worth the effort. Try to go for a sun rise or a moon rise - the exercise is good for your health, and the views are incomparable.

We visited in September 2014. Beautiful walk and encounters with history - Christopher Columbus. Nice view of the city and harbor.

Walking through the Citadel is almost like time travel. The houses and cobblestone streets are so old and in such good shape, and the number of cars is limited, that you briefly forget that you're a 21st century tourist. This is a photographer's paradise. Lots to see in the citadel and incredible views from every vantage point. It can be... More

The views over the harbour were excellent all the way across to our hotel in the hills below the mountains. We found the ruin of Christopher Columbus's house. We also visited the church which is very pretty and beautifully decorated. The museum of the French Foreign Legion was open for visitors.

Very nice to walk through and take in the gorgeous views of the lower town of Calvi, the beaches and the mediterranean. It's more a "visit to stroll through" than visit to see specific sites (except the church, which is fairly nice, if a bit small and plain). Views are 5 stars on a nice day.

Pretty little side streets to explore with a number of little cafes to duck into. It gets very warm during the summer months in the day so better to visit early morning or in the late afternoon/evening. Or just take lots of breaks for drinks and snacks!

Nice place to visit especially at Sunset time. The view on the small harbor is really nice and the global view of Calvi is stunning

Were there and it was so warm outside. In June, it starts being busy. The Tour itself allows to explain this magnificient construction. Corsica has history to share. Deserves a guided Tour. Count 3 hours and have comfy shoes.
