This was the last stop on our tour of Costa Rica. The gardens are quite beautiful but unless you are an orchid lover their may not be enough to see to warrant a visit. This was however the best stop on our tour. Read a little bit and look at the pictures to see if it is worth your time... More

This orchid garden has such a huge collection and variety of orchids that local brides choose to have their wedding there. There are so many varieties that you won't find in the U.S. or your local grocery store or other usual place. I took wonderful photos. There is no charge to enter.

I and a friend went to this attraction that was being advertised on the net. We live in El Coyol, so it was only a $12 taxicab ride from Los Olivos. Add another $6 if leaving from downtown Alajuela. We had some difficulty finding the location because even the locals are not sure what or where it is. As it... More

We were disappointed that an orchid garden had so few blooming orchids. The grounds were prettier than the flowers. The best part of the place was the garden and grounds, where a curving sidewalk was littered with orange blossoms from a large Poro tree.

The garden was very peaceful and intimate. The grounds are amazing and the birds add a natural feel to it.

If you like orchids it's a must see and if not you will relax among the big trees, small lake with koi fish and just the nice nature surrounding the gardens. What I liked the most is it is authentic, not touristy packaged, so don't expect a tourist attraction with a bus ride and fake guides trying to entertain you.... More

Beautiful Orchid Garden in the La Garita area of Costa Rica. This is a family owned and operated orchid garden with thousands of orchids. There are also some beautiful macaws and a white cockatoo. You can walk into the growing houses, and see orchids everywhere, inside and outside. The covered exhibit area is large, and has hundreds of fantastic blooming... More

We stopped at the Garden on our way to Arenal, This family opens their grounds to share the beauty while keeping Costa Rica beautiful. They have an abundance of exotic plants, a tropical trail, nurseries, and all dedicated to the orchid plant. With our tour, there was 18 of us, the family also provided a delicious typical lunch. Great place... More

We had visited this garden about 3 years ago and were quite impressed. This year we took 2 friends along and we were the only people in the garden. It didn't seem like there were as many orchids blooming although there were a lot of small ones. We probably would not visit here again.
