I just visited Tinuy-an Falls, a name which loosely translated means a place that is off the beaten path. Local government has put in some good controls so the site is clean and organized. This falls is claimed to be the widest in Mindanao. It has several levels and the first upper level can be reached through an iron pathway... More

Pro's: falls is really beautiful. Had a nice dip. Was able tp climb the next level and it is really nice. Clean bathroom for shower. Try the raft! Con's: way to the falls is a very bumpy road

When in Surigao you should not miss this place. Its peaceful and not many people were there. Maybe because it was three in the afternoon when we got there. The gushing sound of the water makes you feel like you're in a Virgin forest. But the only downside is there were not so many trees anymore.

The Tinuy-an falls is a beautiful natural wonder. If you're looking for other activities other than the falls, then you're in the wrong place. Also, the road from highway to the falls is bumpy and long, makes you think twice about coming back.

Dislike the rough road, rubbish and annoying local collectors on almost everything. Waterfall is great - we had fun on top. Good for locals but it still has a long way to meet foreign standard

I liked the ability to climb the falls with a guide. In Australia such a thing would not be allowed because the lawyers would be suing for millions when someone had an accident. Philippines...don't follow example of Australia and America...keep up the fun and let people take responsibility for their own actions! Road wasn't as bad as everyone makes out.... More

The Tinuy-an Falls was one of the tourist destination we visited during our Suirgao trip last March 2013. Coming from Surigao del Norte, it takes about 8 hours bus ride going to Surigao del Sur. We were suppose to visit the Enchanted River and Tinuy-an Falls on the same day since these are quite near to each other. But due... More

I didn't stay here very long, but this place is a nicer visit than the Enchanted River, which was way too overcrowded. The admission here is higher, though, but nothing a foreigner would not think was dirt cheap. The only reason I rate it average is because you got a lot of work in travel time to get here, when... The way to the tinuy-an is quite hard its rough road. but when you see the falls its one of an experience the water is flowing very fast its like a curtain at different levels... however, it seems that the local government is not giving so much attention for its development for tourist... it was so natural that the local...
