we were on our way to Erfoud and they propose us to stop there , nothing to see in that location except some greedy business owners trying to sell some stuff just don't pay what they say cuz once you looks like a tourist they will try to screw you .

The contrast of the green, the bright flowers and the desert around it makes for a wonderfully photographic setting. It's non stop villages along the road, and there are plenty of places to stop and shop or eat.

We went to see an oasis and a valley of roses. A 200kmround trip produced neither, no water, not a single rose except those for sale along the road. Maybe it was the wrong time of year?

I visited this valley at the beginning of may, the period that should be harvesting of the flowers. The valley is pretty with many ksars and oasis. But there aren't roses, or better, they are very few, they seemed to me little or not cultivated. Roses cannot be the reason for visiting this valley. I don't recommend visiting it if... More

A beautiful area, we´ve been there on our tour with Desert Dream4x4. I definitely want to come back in the time of the blossoms, and see more of its beauty. You can find a lot of nice products made of roses, and have many spectacular views.

March was for us the ideal moment to visit this beautiful area, after a long and cold winter in Belgium.

We travelled (for the 2nd time) with 'Abdou trek'. You walk with a guide 2 mules and 2 porters, 1 cook and 1 guide. You sleep in a small tent, basic comfort, and live for the days of your trek with the above 'trek-family'. This is discovering a country from withing compared to AC4WD vehicles. Try it out for a... Hiking in this valley in is entering another dimension of colors and smells. Roses grown here everywjere and everything is done with roses: soaps, perfumes, beauty creams, dyes, inks, paints for the face, etc., etc.. A fabulous place that undoubtedly deserves a visit.
