Description: Champagne Thierry Rodez is situated in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay...
Champagne Thierry Rodez is situated in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. Thierry is a fifth generation winemaker. We are a small champagne producer with 3.4 hectares of vines. Our grapes are pressed, vinified and sold on site. We are open year round (except August) and are always delighted to welcome guests for a tour and degustation of our champagne if we're home (please call ahead!). We look forward to sharing our news and stories with all, especially those interested in the lifestyle of a small and traditional vigneron champenois.

My fiance and I visited this champagne house in April 2015 just before the main touristic season started. What a fantastic experience it was! We were met by Thierry and Marie ad taken on the tour of their cellars, where Marie patiently and in great depth explained the process of champagne making. We were real beginners in this, so we... I organised a visit here on Monday 8th September 2014, for the Dane Valley Wine Appreciation Society of Congleton, Cheshire. 23 of us comfortably squeezed into the long tasting room and enjoyed tasting the Brut (Blanc de Noires) from Pinot Noir, the Brut Rose, and Vintage Champagne. After, we had a short cellar tour and bought wines to bring back... More

One of the smaller champagne houses but a truly fantastic experience. The family couldn't be nicer. Great talk on the making of their champagne and tour of their place. Great tasting experience at end, very generous with the various types of champagne we got to try. Lovely champagne and can't imagine anyone visiting without going away with at least one... More

My girlfriend and I dropped in on the Rodez Family having called about ten minutes ahead to ensure that they would be around. After giving us a tour of the cellars in perfect English, Jessie kindlu invited us into her kitchen, where we shared a bottle of champagne with her and her husband, Thierry. We ended up buying a couple... More

We visited early in the new year when I was expecting most of the Champagne houses to be closed. I had arranged our visit beforehand by email with Jessie and I would recommend people do this. What can I say other than it was perfect. Jessie showed my wife and I around this small, family run house and caves, spending... More

This is our second visit to Champagne Thierry Rodez & we like it so much we could not visit the region without a visit to Thierry & Jessie. They are warm friendly hosts & have plenty of tips on this most sacred tipple! They always share a glass or two with us & their champagne is exceptional value for the... More

The Rodez family made us feel very welcome as they showed us their champagne house. We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and contacted Jessi by phone. She was very accommodating and we made arrangements for our visit the same day. She speaks wonderful English and explained everything to us about the farming, gathering, processing, and storing of the champagne. The... More
