Claudia gave us a wonderful tour of Volterra, pointing out not only the key historical details, but also personalizing it with relevant information about her family's experiences living in this beautiful town. Her energy and enthusiasm, even on a day when the temperature neared 100 degrees Fahrenheit, enlivened every stop. She speaks excellent English.

We were only in Volterra today for 2 days and found the 1 hour walking tour very helpful--Claudia was our guide and was very energetic and vivacious.

We find walking tours one of the best ways to learn and gain an appreciation for the culture and essence of place. This tour came highly recommended by Rick Steve's "Florence and Tuscany 2015". It did not disappoint. it was easy to book, we just had to show up at the listed time and location and Annie did the rest.... More

We had already spent a day in Volterra before we took the walking tour with Claudia. We were the only two that day and she encouraged us to wait until there were more but we paid for 3 (the minimum number) rather than wait. We were glad we did. She was fun, passionate, and very informative.

We greatly enjoyed our evening walk with Annie as she brought alive the history of Voltarra through the ages as we wandered the streets. Her enthusiasm for the subject was infectious and greatly enhanced our experience exploring Volterra. We would recommend this to anyone.

Maybe I don't want to write such a glowing review? Volterra is a place that I want to remain as it is - a lovely, living example of modern Tuscan life in an ancient setting. But everyone should take this tour, to begin to understand some of the forces that have shaped this community over thousands of years to make... More

We often take walking tours when we travel, and the guides run the gamut on charm and knowledge, but Annie hit it out of the park on both counts! She presented an incredible amount of historical information using stories to bring it to life. We covered lots of ground in just a few hours, and there weren't any questions she... More

Brilliant one hour walking tour in the early evening around the ancient part of Volterra with American-Italian guide Annie of Tuscan Tour (tuscantour.com), who made the place come alive with her tales of this ancient Etruscan city from the days before the Romans to the present. Great way to get to know a bit more about this fascinating city....entertaining, very... More

Turns out both my son and the Hilton Grand Vacation Borgo Alle Vigne each recommended Annie Adair. We thought we missed the Villa tour the night before but it turned out, they had not received an update from Annie she had added another noonish tour! Hooray for us. While we weren't promised a private tour, it ended up being 4... More
