Definitely recommend taking this tour. We went with tourguide Claudia and discovered the Etruscan city of Volterra through her eyes. Great sights, great history and great tourguide. Also nice to be in a small tour; even with only 4 people the tour was on and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Even got nice dinner recommendations in the end.

We took the tour on May 2nd, it was raining like crazy, and still our wonderful tour guide (unfortunately I am not completely sure what was her name) showed up on time and gave us a great tour of the city. Do not miss this opportunity to learn about the history and main sites of this city from a charming... More

We just returned to our apartment at Podere San Lorenzo after going on a wonderful walking tour of Volterra. Our tour guide Annie did an amazing job keeping our whole family (2 adults and 3 children aged 3, 9 and 12) interested. We had considered taking a self-guided tour of this charming village but are glad we did not. It... More

We were there at the appointed time and place. Waited 15 minutes. At least 10 people were there waiting. Nothing written on the website

Dear Land-air-c, please accept my sincere apologies about my no-show for the walking tour this past Sunday. In the late afternoon I was dealing with a serious personal emergency and was simply unable to come and unable to find someone to substitute me at such late notice. As a guide, my worst nightmare is a situation such as this, and... More

Knowledgeable, personable, and enthusiastic Annie Adair presented Volterra to us and made us fall in love with her Italian home. The history of the Etruscans came alive through Annie's spiel which encouraged us to delve deeper via the Etruscan Museum. We marveled with her at the stone theater uncovered in the 1950's and understood the significance in the circle of... More

Annie Adair gave us a personalized and fun tour of Volterra, inspiring a new-found love of Etruscan culture! with Annie, and learned far more than we expected. Annie's style is very approachable, and delivered with a real enchanting delivery. We will definitely return to Volterra, and would like to tour with Annie in another location, as well! Job well done!!!

A wonderful introduction to the town and its history, this walking tour with Annie Adair was full of information and interesting stories as she took us the Arch, the amphitheater and other sites through the city. Highly recommended.

Best part of our trip to Volterra was the city tour with Annie. She will bring the history of this charming town to life. This will be the best 20 euros you will spend in Italy. Worth every euro and more. I will never think of lifesavers in the same way. Thank you Annie

We enjoyed a walking tour with Annie as part of a Rick Steves' tour. She was just wonderful as she led us thru town and thru history. We had a varied group, ranging in age from 20 to late 60s and she kept us all entertained and interested. In thinking of her commentary, I am actually sitting here with tears... More

Franz Reinders is a tour guide that does an extremely interesting walking tour around Volterra. A wonderful way to get introduced to the town as well as a crash course in Etruscan history, as Franz is quite expert. The tour meets at 6pm (aka 18:00) at the Volterra bus stop. It's 10 Euro per person with a minimum cost of... More
