What a view!

Truly spectacular. We were lucky enough to have great visibility. The views of Naples, Pompeii and surrounding areas magnificent.

It took time to reach the skytop little Church of San Michele, but the magic of the views compensated our efforts. Great place.

It's definately worth a trip up to the top of Monte Faito, where you can admire the views and walk to the summit of the highest peak on the Sorrentine peninsula, namely La Molare. There are a number of bars and restaurants at the sumit. The cable car is out of action but you can get a bus from Vico... More

Thought we would revisit this stunning place but were very disappointed to find the cable car is closed for repair! Couldn't find this info anywhere except at the station at castlemmarre!

Be prepared for a local bus journey like no other. Lots of corners and you obviously just get higher and higher up the mountain BUT to be fair it just added to the whole experience as we were in hysterics laughing. The views are just out of this world! I have never seen views like that before without being on... More

You can take the local bus up to Monte Faito or the cable car. A beautiful walk, higher than Vesuvius, through beech trees. Watch out for the goat herd foraging through the trees.

Pretty views but the drive was a bit scary. It is pretty much single lane on one side, expect to have to reverse if a bus is coming

We drove to this place from Vico Equense, which took about 20 mins. We stopped at the main observation point, which had a parking,a hotel and a snack bar and of course the observation area... . The views on both sides of the hill are stunning- Vesuvio, the bay of naples and the city below... On the other side there... More
