Unfortunately it was closed. I think it opens in April. Pretty from outside. Would have liked to see inside.

If in Tropea, do tale the time to climb up the "Isola" and visit this small church. A real mystic atmosphere there and beautiful views from the square in front of it.

amazing view sitting atop this little hill on the waters edge - stunning. Be aware/respectful that it is a church and bare shoulders should be covered if you enter - they do provide a shawl if you dont have one.

Unfortunately, the day that we went to visit, church was not operating, they were doing stairs, and it was all closed and blocked for tourist to enter. We walked near by and it is really special place to visit. Just beautiful.

This church is positioned on the edge of Tropea, high on an outcrop of rock, looking out to sea. unfortunately the church was closed during my visit, so I can only comment on the outside. It is a dreamlike building perched on top of a hill in a little peninsula surrounded by the Tirreno sea. Take a photo that you'll proudly show to your friends.

At the end of April, 2014 this site was closed to the public for ongoing work. It appears that the exterior of the church has been overly restored, inviting comparisons with a Lego building. Older photographs show a much more charming, slightly ruined building.

One of the nicest churches I've ever seen, a fantastic setting a centre piece of the town, really lovely at sunset and at night.
