Very pretty beach

Went in Mid March. Too cold to swim. Beach was empty. The only other person on beach was a fisherman. Nice place to stroll.

We were in Tropea during shoulder season -- it wasn't very crowded but it was still warm enough to swim. The ocean was lovely but the best part was the hidden grotto which was super neat to check out.

The city is totally uncommon, having breathtaking views of the beaches and Blue Mediterranean sea. Good for strolls, relaxation, peace and no mobs.

Lovely when you get there but as there are steps to the beach not good if you have vertigo or mobility problems.

What a spectacular beach. The stairs down from the town are very long, but, there are places to stop and take a break. You can go at your own pace so do not let the stairs deter you. When my family and I were there (way back in June 2010) it was busy but we always found room on the... More

Loved the clear blue waters and city. Walk around the city in the morning and spend the afternoon at the beach. A MUST-SEE city/beach in Italy!

We really enjoyed the quiet, white sand beach and the crystal clear, azure blue ocean. We had to walk down from the city of Tropea to the beach on steep stairs but we made it just fine.

A must see place, a Little town in a my other country of Europe would be overwhelmed by tourists and overpriced. But Tropea is not. We went there in august and all though the beach was super crowded, the see was incredibly clean and transparent like a swimming pool. The little town is touristic but authentic at the same time....
