What a beautiful place! The high cliffs are the backdrop to the blue sea waters. Take a walk down the beach to the grotto under the church it is amazing. Bring along a pair of flip flops or water shoes as the little pebbles are hard on sensitive feet. Keep your eyes open for sea glass and Italian tile washed... More

The pebbles might be painful for your feet so bring shoes for the water or flip flops at least to walk on the beach. But only with these pebbles do you get to see this gorgeous water with all the shades of turquoise and various colors in the water. My favorite part was that there were grottos to explore if... More

The beach was fabulous and the water was so clear. Enjoying a glass of wine and Calabrese pizza at a beach restaurant added to the experience. A memorable part of our visit to Tropea!!

Beautiful beach, but don't forget to take some "beach shoes" with you, because it is partially a pebble beach!

loved the restaurants on the beach, great food, loved the water and beach activities surrounding us. Did not like: the rocky sand was a little hard to get used to on the feet, strongly recommend water shoes and the beach vendors harassing you every 10 seconds.

Stairs up and down to beach were great to work out the pizza! It isn't for the lazy traveler! Wear good flip flops : beach is rocky. Not too crowded weekdays late September and clean 75 degree water...summer would probably bring towel to towel tourists.

One of the most beautiful places I've visited! Crystal clear clean water set next to high cliffs. Absolutely amazing! A must see!

Beautiful beach. You can pay 5 euro for 2 lounge chairs and stay for the whole day if you like. Be prepared for the small pebbles on the beach. It didn't bother me but it was a little challenging to walk on at times.

Actually several beaches walking distance in the area. There in Sept. water was warm, crystal clear, had a great time. Plenty of stalls/restaurants nearby selling drinks food etc. We were very lucky the annual Blues Festival was on while we were there, so some great music thrown in for free as well, it doesn't get much better than that!
