We drove from Sulmona to Pescocostanzo, via Bosco Sant' Antonio. An absolutely, gorgeous and unforgettable forest. You will become immersed in the lovely greenery of this forest wonderland. We drove to Pescocostanzo, stopped, walked around and had lunch at I Tre Frati ristorante.

What a gorgeous little town nestled in the highest mountain top so beautiful and peaceful. We drove through on our way to Naples. We took a slight detour but it was worth it, stop and take it all in. Breathtaking

This is an atmospheric area, with some facilities and is great for a picnic in the shade. It makes a good stopping-off place on the way to or from Pescocostanza. There is a touch of the Forest of Fangorn (Lord of the Rings) about the it and children will love the greenery and the space.

The woods wery very tranquil, with just the sound of birdsong. Didn't see any bears or wolves though.

There are two sides on which to ski; the side that is in the "bosco" is NOT FLAT!!, so if you do not know how to cross country ski UPhill or DOWNhill, watch out! The other side, across the road, has just a few ups and downs, the track is long and stretched out. Very quiet and pleasant but not... More
