We visited the Parco Nazionale della Maiella from Chieti by car. It’s a 26 km drive which is steep and the road is awful in certain stretches (in particular from the Passo di Lanciano). After overcoming these minor nuisances you park your car at 2000 m. and you enter an area without any traces of humans for many miles around.... More

What a beautiful drive through this fantastic area. Mountains meet the lakes . You choose your activity or just drive through and enjoy the wonderful scenery.,

We visited Caraminico specifically to go walking in the Orfento Valley Nature Reserve. The tradition of la madonna che scappa is keep up and the piazza was packed like an egg. We found a good place albeit far and were able to see the statue of... More

Loved everything, but mostly enjoyed our guides from Abruzzo Passion, active holidays provider in Abruzzo. The views, the flowers, the sparkling fresh air, everything superb.
