Take the bus to Pieve di Ledro, lie at the lakeside in the sun, eat a pizza, drink a beer and walk back to Riva. I love doing this walk although this time, My husband and daughter got the bus back whilst my other daughter and I walked back around the lake. We walked at a leisurely pace back down... More

Great walk to Lago Ledro, take plenty water and watch out for bikes. There is a cafe half way from Lago de Garda which is very welcome

A beautiful lake dotted with small villages which are a pleasure to visit and each with its own charm. Pieve, Pur and Mezzolago, to mention a few. Excellent place for swimming, walking and cycling.

A 35 minute bus ride from riva auto station took us up the valley to lake ledro with stunning scenery all the way , the lake itself has two or three small towns that we saw close by hith a range of hotels and camp sites to stay at. The lake itself had a good range of leisure craft and... More

The road to Ledro is an adventure in itself with its curves in the road and the long tunnel from Riva. The lake... More

We spent an afternoon at the side of this lake enjoying the sunshine and swimming in the lake. On the eastern shore the road does not run all the way to the end and therefore is much quieter than the other side.

The Valle di Ledro was relatively quiet when we visited recently - most establishments were waiting for the impending Easter tourist traffic that we just preceded. The valley has a lovely lake and some great upstream waterfalls to find, and the local firewater Picco Rosso is worth a try but not for the teetotal!

We stopped at Lago Ledro on our way from Trento to Lago Garda. The lake is gorgeous with its crystal clear, blue-green waters and mountain backdrops. We would have liked to do some hiking in the area but our primary goal was the small but fascinating Museo dell Palafitte at Molina. It was interesting to learn about how the piles... More
