We were getting so tired towards the end of busy day and were reluctant to spend time here however it is certainly the most interesting and beautiful of the Lake Garda towns and I wished that I could have spent more time there. The tower is the predominant sight after leaving the ferry. The town dates back to Roman times.

Great for photographs, take a bottle of water with you, you will need it when you get to the top as there are lots of steps.

This is a clock tower in the centre of Riva and can be seen from most parts of the town. There is rather a bit of a climb up 100+ steps, but is well worth the climb for the views from the top. If you're feeling fit give it a go!

Well, the whole centre of the old town is lovely with little streets to walk through and many a cafe to enjoy a simple coffee or beer.

At only €2.00 admission, this was the best value for money experienced ANYWHERE on our trip. It is an easy climb up wide staircase and the views srom the top are simply stunning. Beautiful lake views on one side and rooftop mountain views on the other. Would definitely recommend

Well worth the small entry fee. Some steep steps to the top are worth the effort. The tower has an interesting history that you can read about at the entrance. You efforts will be rewarded with a fabulous view over the patchwork of terracotta roofs of the town. A great opportunity for some photos over the town to the castle... More

Clock tower in a simple square surrounded by restaurants, bars and some shops, but far more off the square with the lake opposite. Nothing out of the ordinary here, in fact, some entertainment would have been nice.

Spent a few evenings/nights in this area enjoying the food, drink and entertainment. The open air orchestra was brilliant with the whole square seated for the large attendance. A magnet for people enjoying an after dinner stroll.

We stumbled across the tower one day we were out and for only a few euros each we though we'd have a look. So glad we did the view from the top is amazing.

Climb to the top of the stairs and step out onto the top of the tower. You'll need a head for heights, especially if it's windy. Make sure you aren't there when the bell rings - it's deafening! However, the view is simply stunning: red-tiled roofs, narrow streets and piazzas, the lake and the majestic Dolomites.
