not our normal holiday type venue but it was heavy rain one day so paid the Museum a visit. If this is your thing then it's well worth the minimal entrance cost. very interesting.

This museum is set round a courtyard which is very pretty, exhibits are very well presented, a most enjoyable couple of hours.

We spent at least a couple of hours in this wonderful museum. It gave a fascinating insight to the area, history and people of Riva. If the weather is not good enough outside then take a visit inside. We climbed the tower and had marvellous views over Riva.

An interesting stop when you're exploring Riva - don't be like us and leave it near closing time....

The museo is hosted in an old tower like buiding in the centre of the town. There is access to the rooftop and the view is stunning. At the time of our visit a photography exhibition from the early days of the lake was also hosted. There is a floor dedicated to items and artefacts from the antiquity. Definitely worth... More

Avoid this place when you are looking for information or amusement. The view on top is nice though, for 5 minutes or so. Just a collection of potsherds, WO1 weapons, photos and some arts. No coherence of the exhibition, no clear tale of history (i find just looking at potsherds not enlightning) and allmost all captions are in italian. Hard... More

A good place to spend an hour or two if Riva is too hot or wet. The exhibits are well set out and labelled. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great views from the roof.

Well presented and most enjoyable. Also doubles as a concert venue which we visited one evening for a choral concert by choir from Austria, accompanied by a wind trio presenting a tribute to Mozart, as well as some typical Tyrolean music.

The Beer photo exhibition was really good and gave a good historic account of Lake Garda. The museum is in the heart of Riva and a trip to the top gave some wonderful views.

For windsurfers of course! But also for other tourist, nice place, excellent icecream, walking or cycling along coast of clear water (august: 23 degC), swans, ... Many camping places available. We found also
