Spend a very personal day with Chef Vincenzino in Ravello. After many years as chef/owner of a restaurant, he decided to run a cooking school from his home, enjoying the people who love food, and "eat it with the heart and not just the mouth!" You will start with a visit to the little food shops located in the historic alley of Ravello, strolling through the pedestrian road that crosses the village. Along with Vincenzino, who speaks perfect English, you will meet with the owners of the small shops and be shown how the local people choose their fish, special homemade pasta, vegetables, and local and national wines. Together, you will decide what to buy and cook for your lesson. Then it is on to Vincenzino's home, gloriously situated on a clifftop 350 meters above sea level. You will proceed with the hands-on preparation of your lunch, from the starters to the dessert, wine, water and coffee included. Weather permitting, lunch will be served on the terrace to enjoy the spectacular view of the Mediterranean. The day begins between 9-10am and ends after your meal in the afternoon. US$210. per person, minimum two people

My husband booked us a cooking class with Vincenzo as part of our honeymoon in Amalfi... and it has definitely been the best experience so far. He has a very big heart and made sure we not only learned the preparation and techniques for each meal we cooked, but that we had an enjoyable time doing it. Everything is fresh...... More

We loved our cooking class with Chef Vincenzo and highly recommend it. He had been enthusiastically recommended by a friend -- and we couldn't agree more. It is truly a hands-on experience where you do the work...which means you actually learn how to do it. One of the highlights is that he films you using your phone describing what you're... More

If you do nothing else while vacationing on the Almalfi Coast, set aside a day to spend cooking with Vincenzo. This was easily my favorite experience of our trip. My husband and 24 year old son met Vincenzo in town and after a nice conversation we set out shopping for our meal. Stopping at the small local fish market and... More

I had the pleasure of spending the day with Vincenzino taking his cookery course alongside my partner. He was extremely dedicated to his work and a truly typical Italian character to spend a day of my holiday with. It is obvious he is passionate about the Mediterranean way of life, diet, ingredients, and coking style, and he is dedicated to... More

Had a wonderful and special day with Vincenzino in Ravello. It was so much more than a cookery course. It started with a visit to the fishmongers where we chatted to the owner about what fish was fresh that day. We opted for fresh anchovies (so fresh you could eat them raw in the shop!), local mussels and sea bass.... More

We were lucky enough to have spent a wonderful day with Chef Vincenzino during our recent travels to Italy. If your idea of meditereanian cooking is cream, butter and cheese, this may not be for you. But if you are interested in experiencing the local culture first hand and cooking with fresh, locally grown ingredients, I highly reccomend this class.... More

Fantastic experience starting with our meeting with Vincenzino and choosing what we would like to cook using fresh ingredients from the local fish shop and fruit shop. An experience in itself. Then down cobbled lane ways to his marvellous apartment overlooking the beautiful Amalfi coast to start our cooking experience. Vincenzino was so engaging and helpful and the experience was... More

Yes, we did go shopping for our food, and that was fun, but after that it got way too personal. My daughter and I took the class together. Vincenzino on way too many occasions kept referring to my daughter being overweight and how she would be so much more beautiful if she was thin. He even went so far as... More

We had a fantastic time at our cooking class with Vincenzino, starting with stops at the fish market and produce shop in town (Ravello). Vincenzino is very engaging and unpretentious. Our preparations were not fancy, which is exactly what we wanted. When we want fancy, we go out. Our ingredients and preparations couldn't have been fresher or more flavorful. First,... More

Our day began at 9:30am when cooking with Vincenzino. We didn't understand why we had to meet so early but as the day progressed it made perfect sense. It's because he spent significantly more time with us than advertised. We got to choose what we wanted to make with Vincenzino which was in stark contrast to most other cooking classes... More
