I went to Italy with a group of 12 on a tour. We were told we had a "free" day so my friend Deb "Googled" "cooking class on Amalfi coast" and we found this school. We signed up and had the time of our lives. Walking down the stairs to the terrace, my eyes filled up at the beauty of... more

Attending Mama Agata's Italian Cooking School was one of the highlights of our tour of Italy. The day begins with a warm welcome by Chiara, Mama's daughter who narrates and facilitates the class. We are invited onto the most amazing open-air dining room/balcony that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to meet our classmates, sip on cappuccino and eat the most delicious... more

As we are foodies we had to book a cookery class during our honeymoon but this was a cooking class with a difference...we really felt like Mamma Agata and Chiara had opened up there home - very warm people and the most fabulous food and wine! We have come home to London and have been cooking the recipes we have... more

When we walked through the door, we were immediately tranported into another world. There to greet us with the warmest smile and hug, was our new friend Chiara. The aroma of tomatoes and lemons competed with the visual beauty of the flowers and gardens overlooking the waters below. After 2 weeks in the hustle and bustle of Italy, we found... more

It’s unsurprising that this is the no1 rated TripAdvisor activity on the Amalfi Coast, we had the most fantastic day and recommend this to anyone of any age or cooking ability. Mamma Agata’s daughter, Chiara, who runs the show, is charming, entertaining, genuine and immediately made us feel at home and at ease to enjoy the day. She makes it... more

My husband and I recently took a culinary tour on the Amalfi Coast through AmalfiLife. The tour itself was wonderful. One fo the best experiences was going to Mama Agata's. I can't even describe the how beautiful the setting was. Her home and gardens were extraordinary. Her daughter, Chiari was the hostess and is one the most genuine and lovely... more

Four days ago, we had the extreme pleasure to meet Mamma and Chiara and complete our cooking class experience. Before we arrived in Italy, Chiara became my personal tour guide for everything related to the Amalfi Coast. She has a background in tourism and it came through as she arranged for a bed and breakfast for us as well as... more

Having read so many reviews we hope we wouldn't be disappointed and we certainly weren't! Not cheap but if you value an experience then this the place for you - great company in a real family home with food and wine to die for. This is rustic food at its best, with people genuinely having a great time together on... more

We decided to book Mama Agata's cooking class based on comments and reviews found here on tripadvisor. While we expected it to be fun and entertaining, we had no idea how much we would enjoy the experience. It is SO much more than a cooking class. It is a gross understatement to say that Chiara and Mama make you feel... more

My 16-year old son and I joined a group of 9 other visitors at Mamma Agata's home in Ravello at 10:30 in the morning. We were greeted by Chiara, Mamma's charming daughter, who does all the translating for Mamma A. The lemon cake that Mamma Agata serves is sensational, and you will leave with the recipe! By 1 p.m., we... more
