This was even far better than I expected. We started at the top, walked down, had a refreshing break in the little kiosk right at the bottom end - yes amazingly thoroughly recommended - and then staggered back up! It is not as bad as some make out, we are both in our sixties and not that fit! Do take... More

We did it with our 2 years old child in a backpack, we did it from Nocelle to Colle la sera (high above Praiano) and back as we stayed in Nocelle. A great hike, amazing views... we did another hike (about 2 hours long) between Santa maria del castello to Casrema forestale that had even better views see pics

Loved it, stunning views and nature, be prepared though the path is not always 'civilised' and it takes some effort to climb and descend too. Worth the effort though.

The wife and I love this hike and we will do it again this May. We are 66 year olds and we find it strenuous, but not terrible. It is a good time to wear knee braces. Great views, and good lemon juice and snacks for a small donation at the ancient convent above Praiano.

My husband and I did this hike just before Christmas 2014. The weather was PERFECT. Not too hot, not too cold, and cloudless. Plus we had the trail almost entirely to ourselves. Just a handful of other people in passing. When we were planning to be in Italy in December, I knew I wanted to do this hike but was... More

This walk is very strenuous and demanding and you should leave early to avoid the heat of the day also take plenty of water and snacks and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Don't forget the sunscreen. A lot of the track is on uneven ground and not well sign posted in some areas. We started our walk from Praiano up... More

This is probably one of the best free things to do when in Italy on vacations but you have to be aware of the place. Bring water, a hat and sun protection since it can get hot , comfortable shoes and whats most important BE IN SHAPE, this is not for eders, kids or people with cardio problems. Do it... More

Okay, okay, this walk does provide magnificent views HOWEVER I think the reviews grossly misrepresent the difficulty of this very seriously challenging hike. My husband is 72 and I am 63 and we honestly regretted this experience. My husband is quite fit, no one believes he is as old as he is and he took two pretty hard falls on... More

By far the best part of our stay in not only Praiano but Italy. We hiked from the base of Praiano and got about halfway to Positano. We are pretty fit, and this hike was still very challenging. In total we counted about 1900+ stairs. Along the way we hiked past ruins, farms, vineyards, goats, mules and breathtaking views. We... More

We started in Bomerano and hiked to Positano. The views were absolutely wonderful. The hike was a little longer than anticipated but we were prepared with plenty of water and snacks. Start early to allow yourself time to take in the scenery. Not strenuous in terms of elevation gain but can be taxing on the length depending on where you... More
