One afther another, green and rocky mountainsp lunge dramatically into the mediterranean blue sea. The famouse Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picturebook wiews each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times. « less

After spending a day at each Positano beach, Fornilo is the clear winner on value. 8 euros / person entry fee (same as Arienzo and 4 euros cheaper than Marina Grande) and by far the best food values among the 3 beaches. We beached and ate at F.lli Grassi with a perfect front row chair and fantastic panninis, bruschetta, beers,... More

Nice spot. Staff disinterested. Not very welcoming. We came down for the day and as the Italian holiday season was over it was relatively quiet. It just seemed that if yor face did not fit they were not interested

If your looking for a more relaxed beach than the main Positano beach this is the one. It may not have all the amenities that the main beach has but there are a few beach restaurants to choose from.

Less crowded than Spiaggia Grande, reasonable kayak rentals, great food at Ferdinando and Pupetto. Free wifi at both too

This was a relaxing beachfront tucked a bit further away from the center of town. Well worth the extra time to find a place to relax away from the crowded beach.

It's a beach but not as we know it. Sunbeds were cheap (8Euros) but packed like sardines. Today was cloudy. We were entertained by numerous helicopters collecting water from the sea trying to put out a fire in the mountains. Lovely Positano but we' all try another beach.

I enjoyed my time at Fornillo, but I felt it was a bit more crowded than Arienzo. So I would go to Arienzo again if I could choose. We stayed right in the beginning in the blue beds, the restaurant had many options. The chairs were slightly cheaper (8 euros). My bf favored this place because of a seafood risotto... More

we went to fornillo beach and found it much better than the main beach in Positano. The guys at Ferdinando's are relaxed and friendly. Good music plays throughout the day and the sandwiches are great. please try the lemon slush!! We took the stairs down from our hotel and then took the walkway back to the bus stop in the... More
