Description: This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful...
This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful in the entire Mediterranean. One afther another, green and rocky mountainsp lunge dramatically into the mediterranean blue sea. The famouse Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picturebook wiews each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times.

As all the beaches in Positano this beach is really crowded, to rent an umbrella and to lounges was 25Eu. It was just ok!

Being an Aussie we're used to fine sandy beaches, so we struggled with Italian Beaches in general, as laying out in the sun all day (and paying for it) on a pebbly beach is not the Aussie thing. Having said that we came to this beach twice in the week we were there - once to swim and twice to... More

We have been to this restaurant at least twice before and had a wonderful, authentic Italian meal each time. Not any more. We originally had a Thursday reservation but had to change it to Saturday, and unfortunately they completely changed their menu on Friday. It is no longer Italian, it is a contemporary tasting menu, while not terrible, it is... More

Busy pebbly beach with a stair walk down and up. Chairs and umbrella's will cost you but there is a section if you don't require that... water is amazing!

A great place to experience a swim in the clear waters of the Mediterranean off a typical pebbled beach.

We have been there with the kids on several occasions during our 1 week stay in Positano. Nicer & quieter than the main beach, spiagga grande. The view is breathtaking. The better spots are closer to hotel Puppetto- they are friendly there and you are further from the boats coming to drop off people. Flip flops, or footwear is essential... More

Fantastic experience! Word of advice- bring flip flops as the black pebbles and black sand heat up like hot coals! The views from the beach are spectacular. One of the most beautiful coast lines I have ever seen. The children spent most of the time in the ocean. Water was spectacular and clear. Just awesome.

Fornillo is smaller than the main beach but that only makes it better! It's a beautiful walk getting there and once situated on a lounge chair, you can easily spend the entire day basking in the sun, enjoying lunch and floating. 2 restaurants, some water sports, bathrooms and gorgeous water! There was even a Thai woman there offering massages-- Euro... More

I have to declare we are Australians living in Sydney so know our beaches. We have been here on many occasions but I am still amazed by the place. Firstly, positively amazed at the locale and the beautiful views all around the beach. Has to be one of the most spectacular settings anywhere in the world. On the other hand,... More

This beach is just around from Spiaggia Grande and much quieter as there is no harbour here. They have plenty of beach umbrellas and food and drinks for purchase. The water here is beautiful and you can't resist but to get in and swim!
