Description: This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful...
This stretch of coastline has often been described as the most beautiful in the entire Mediterranean. One afther another, green and rocky mountainsp lunge dramatically into the mediterranean blue sea. The famouse Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picturebook wiews each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times.

Just around the corner from main Positano beach is Fornillo. lots of deck chairs and little bars with limited but well done selection of food & drink. stony beach so the deck / beach loungers are a good choice. Clean water and not as many people as at Positano beach. Choose Da ferdinando for food.

There are, lots of stories about getting boats to certain restaurants etc etc. This little pebble beach is worth walking to. It's not that far from the main beach and if you go early enough not too crowded or hot. It's the first time in many years that I have spent 5 hours on a beach but we really enjoyed our... More

We enjoyed sitting outside this small, friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, the food great. We loved that even with a casual restaurant that the atmosphere is relaxed and one can actually dine and spend a great evening watching people and talking. Good service. Very good food. Fun.

We took the bus from Sorrento and got out at the first Positano stop then followed the stairs down to this beach. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from. We rented a kayak and paddle boat (15 euros/hour) to get on the freezing water. Really picturesque! We stayed on the free beach side: the sand is black and... More

Good beach, reasonable prices for the area, free wi-fi, a little more walking but it worth the effort.

The sandwiches from the beach cafe oozing with olive oil. The beautiful clear water was lovely to swim in!

Spent an afternoon on this delightful beach. The sand is volcanic, so not exactly a picture-postcard beach, but it is a good size and offers the choice of a few places to eat. Pay 5 Euros each per sunbed and you are entitled to use toilet facilities and changing sheds. Lunch is very cheap and perfectly good. A beer, cocktail... More

A nice variation to the crowded and busy Positano Beach. Very easy to get to by walking, but difficult if you have any limitations or have a stroller.

We stopped here on the way to Almalfi for the day on the local bus, great little spot to swim more room than Almalfi, beach is pebbles, not sand but dont let that stop you, water was very clear.
