One afther another, green and rocky mountainsp lunge dramatically into the mediterranean blue sea. The famouse Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picturebook wiews each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times. « less

Gorgeous beach. Still nice in October, although water was chilly. Recommend some water shoes-beach pebbles can hurt a little...they sell them all over the place though if you want to save a little room in the suitcase.

We stayed at Hotel Pupetto, so this was our local beach. Very chilled, clean, plenty of sun lounges/umbrellas, and bars for food and drink. Relaxed vibe, particularly as the sun sets and all the people that need to get the bus home have left for the day. There is also a tiny little beach between Fornillo and Grande - no... More

Positano, was one of my favourite days out from Sorrento, the beautiful clear blue waters are tranquil, even when the beach is busy. Looking back up the cliff side the views are absolutely breathtaking, well worth a stop here, if I were to ever return to the Amalfi coast I would stay here!

The most charming beach close to Positano centre, within walking with amazing views. Clean water, well maintained beach, cafe around. Best recommendation.

A short walk from the middle of Positano this is well worth a visit. Secluded, quiet (not sure in summer of course) but we enjoyed our swim here in late October! Water is clean and beautiful!

It is a short walk away from the main beach of Positano, and definitely worth a look. It is secluded and quaint, away from the main town itself.

We fell across the small beach and this lovely taverna. We had been told to go to da Adolfo as it was so wonderful. Having spent the previous day here in such friendly relaxing and spacious surroundings, we hurried back on day two after spending 30 mins in the smelly dirty tiny area of da Adolfo. This is a great... More

It can be a little difficult to find but we got the information and map at the nearby tourist information office. You start the walk slightly uphill, by the ferry dock, and think you are heading to a hotel or restaurant but when you get to the top of the sloping short walk you see that it continues towards Fornillo... This beach is reached by walking around the coast from the main beach in Positano. It's not quite as busy as the main, but still very nice.

More remote and quiet than the main beach. Great cafe in Pupetto's where we enjoyed a lazy afternoon away from the tourist crowds. Takes some effort to get there but well worth it.
