One afther another, green and rocky mountainsp lunge dramatically into the mediterranean blue sea. The famouse Amalfi Coast road clings to the mountainsides revealing a succession of picturebook wiews each seemingly more stunning than the one before. Not so many years ago much of this coast was only accessible by boat. Now it is a fashionable resort area which retains the charm of past times. « less

A much better, IMO, beach than Spaggia Grande which is more expensive and far far busier than here. Nice views, good sunbeds selection, good beach bars with nice food and some nice staff who can help you with renting kayaks etc It's all pebbles, so have sandals! As are most Amalfi beaches

This beach is the better of the main 2 in positano. From the pier , you take the pathway that goes to the left if looking at the pier from a boat. It is a gentle walk around the point. When you come to a point where you can take the steps or go through a tunnel, take the tunnel.... More

This beach is so much more beautiful than the main beach in Positano, and worth the trek. Don't even waste your time at the main beach, I promise.

Take the time to walk around the west edge of town to this hidden gem of a beach! The cost is 4 Euro cheaper to grab a beach chair for the day, and that includes a boat ride back to Positano! Beach is the same as the Spiaggia Grande, but much less crowded. Plenty of places for food and drink... More

So you have a few days (or even a few hours) to kill in Positano and want to hit the beach, most people head to the main beach, right where the ferries arrive, squash themselves in with all the other tourists and get to the sun baking. However, if you are happy to take a 7-10 min walk you will... More

Top beach, with plenty of options but it`s a little bit expensive if you come for a few days, €15 - 20 for a couple of sunbeds and a shade. Although it’s all new, clean equipment. Little bit limited on take-away food around. So you might want to grab that before you arrive unless going into one of the beach... More

Liked it here. Good beach and facilities, just around the corner from the port at Positano. Pebbles can make getting in and out of the water a pain

There are better beaches in the world, but the beach here in Positano is nice. The water is nice and warm. But the beach is pebbly and everyone sits right next to each other. The views and surrounding town are what you come here for. Come to the beach to cool off and relax, but don't expect it to be... More

In Australia we are spoilt by expansive sandy beaches, so it seems quiet strange to need a sun lounge and to endure large pebbles underfoot when entering the water. That being said, we all know the situation when we arrive and there are many choices of sun beds etc for cheap hire. We spent €12 for two people the first... More

Totally disappointed with this beach. Walked for miles (and further on the way back up stairs) just to attend a dirty beach with filthy water. Go to the main beach or one of the private beaches instead - definitely not worth your time to go to Fornillo. Yuck!
