We spent 4 days at the Spiaggia beach, just being busy, enjoying the beach which is super clean, picturesque and busy. The sea is just fantastic and keeps you coming back. I love Positano!

Our first beach day was at the "smaller" of Positano's two beaches. We paid 8 euro for each person. We tried the larger beach this time and ended up paying 12,50 euro per person. The reason we chose this beach was because we thought there was more "sand" but they were just smaller rocks or pebbles. There really isn't a... More

The Spiaggia Grande is right in the heart of Positano and at the base of the main shopping district. Directly inland from the beach you can find shops and tabaccinsts. The shops sell all sorts for the beach like lilo's and sunscreens, hats, you name it they have it. You can also rent boats for around 30-35 euros per hour... More

Busy beach with lots of sunbathers and lots of boats coming and going. Hanging out and people watching will pass many hours. We paid €10.00 each for one of the sun beds with umbrella.Enjoyed a nice swim and would recommend beach shoes as the stones are a bit uncomfortable while getting in and out of the water.

The beach is very good - comfortable sun bathing chairs with umbrella and small table. Nearby there is a snack and drink bar, shower, changing rooms and wc. Main shopping street is close to the beach. There is an entrance fee of 12.50 euro per person per day. If you want to get place next to the water, I recommend... More

Of all our Positano experiences, the worst were the beaches. They are comprised of nasty little pebbles and a coarse volcanic sand. Both really hurt your feet and if the sun is hot, you "ain't" walking on them in bare feet. It was a torture to be so close to the beautiful water of the Mediterranean while being unable to... More

Good things about this beach: the view up the hill of all of the Positano houses is cool. The beach also has some nice restaurants and shops along it and is generally "festive." But ultimately, it is just an average beach. What sand there is here is very rocky, and to actually get into the water you must go through... More

Positano was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We at a great lunch overlooking the beach and water. The beach is more of a gravel area before the water, so bring shoes, but it is worth putting your feel in the water. Looking from the water back up towards the town is as amazing as you... More

This is the main beach area in the heart of Positano. Although I hesitate to call it a beach when I'm used to the sands of the Caribbean it was still a fun experience. We spent two full days actually as "beach days" in our 9 days in the area as well as coming down to the general area several... More
