Positano is one of the picturesque towns that is a part of the Amalfi Coast tourist experiences. The beaches are okay but it's really the town of Positano that is the star and all its charming and delightful sights. The view from the beach looking up at the town is really the highlight of the visit. The town has restaurants, shops... More

As you would expect of the main port, this beach is busy, crowded, noisey, and the cafes seem a little overpriced. Walk by, have a look at some tourist shops, plan a day trip, but if you want to relax and swim.......go to Spiaggia Fornillo.

My wife and I along with our daughter and her husband were in Positano during our trip to the Amalfi Coast for our wedding anniversaries. It was our 40th and their 10th. We walked down to the beach from our B&B above the main highway. It was mid November and the town was almost deserted. There were only three other... More

This was nice to be there--one of the most beautiful beaches in the world--so the experience is nice...but there is a better beach in this town! You have to walk to it...if you go down to where the ferrie boats leave there is a path that takes you up to one of the historic towers--continue along this path and you... More

The beach is perched at the bottom of the town of Positano and offers stunning views "up" from the water. The water was very clean, clear and calm. We chilled out on rafts and floated peacefully. You can grab a pizza and snack on the beach!

No the best of the two beaches in Positano. Ferries & boats & tourists for days. If your after a relaxing swim, head for Fornillo around the corner.

Sun, scenery, food, and shopping!!!! This beach has it all, but is full of tourists. From the winding cobblestone streets that take you down to the beach, to all of the hidden shops, this beach is one of my absolute favorites. You could easily spend the entire day here people watching, or catch a ferry boat to Capri. Positano is... More

We loved this beach, its not for everyone. pebbles which shelve of quite steeply as you go into the water, so you have to launch yourself in, but once in the water is warm and safe and the views spectacular! they also have a safety barrier to keep any boats away so swimming is really safe and a joy! The... More

This beach is a hub of life day and night; shops, bars, restaurants, artists, beach loungers galore and even a docking harbour for landing craft bringing people to and from Capri, Salerno, and many smaller boats ferry people to private restaurants with exclusive beaches. We loved people watching from many vantage points we found to seat and drink our wine... More
