The pebble beach will give you a decent and painful foot massage, so remember to wear your flip flops to the water's edge. If you have reef walkers, it will be even easier to dive in. If you dive under as the shore wave crashes, you can hear the grinding of the rocks. I went to the public area as... More

As part of our private day tour to Amalfi coast, we walked to this beach and stayed for an hour on Jul 28. It's a nice part of Positano, though it's quite touristy, we loved the view and the colors of the houses when we looked back to the hill. Must come here for at least a day again to... More

Cost for sunbed and umbrella was 12.50 Euro per person . Had to pay an extra euro to use shower for about 60 seconds and also lady collecting money for toilet. Too busy and expensive. sea and views lovely!

One is supposed to pay for an umbrella and deck chair, but you can always find a bit of beach space that is free. The sand if you could call it that is hot and stoney sharp, but once in the water its beautiful.

The Spiaggia Grande, otherwise known as the "main" beach is a bit touristy, crowded and commercial for my taste. I much prefer Fornillo Beach, which a have gone to during previous trips and more recently we tried Arienzo. Both are smaller, a bit quieter, with really decent food. At either beach, be sure to have surf shoes as the beaches... More

Maybe because I'd just come from Taormina in Sicily, maybe because in Australia we have some of the best beaches in the world, but I didn't rate this beach. Not as nice as others I've been to, and I just didn't get the Positano vibe. There are other nicer places to go.

I did like to just have one or two days here. I think it is something to be experienced. The location is wonderful, with so many amenities close by. I love that the only thing you need at the beach, and many in Italy are your sunglasses and suit. You just get your umbrella and chair on site!

It's a great big beautiful beach. The view behind you is almost better than the water in front. Bring your own towel or rent the beach chairs, you're on holiday...expect to spend cash on things you wouldn't normally at home.

Okay on a hoy day if you can find a space. The water is very nice but we are totally spoilt in Australia with our long, rambling stretches of white, pure sand.
