The food is good, but they have trouble with service. The palace itself is beautiful, and it's a very romantic place to eat, but be prepared to pay top dollar.

We stayed at eye Murat for location - it's in the heart of Positano. Since Napolean's brother-in-law picked the location for his Palace / Palazzo, then you get some idea of how special it is. It's not an Ocean view / Mediterranean view hotel, except for a few rooms. It is however THE location in Positano hotel. (For views a... More

Very offhand service but meal and location excellent. Would have expected attentive service but found it difficult to catch waiter's eye even though not busy. Outdoor bar area lovely so wish we'd just had a drink there and gone elsewhere for food. Lots of excellent and cheaper restaurants in Positano with friendly service.

Great food, authentic but quite pricey. Don't take kids - its a classy place and the ambiance is special and "grown up". The food was lovely, the attention to detail very good and the experience authentically italian - would definitely be back, without kids.

Palazzo Murat offers a beautiful and delicious dining experience in the heart of Positano. From the amuse bouche to dessert, we found each course a culinary delight. The restaurant atmosphere was warm and inviting in a beautiful setting. We were having a romantic dinner for two, while just a couple of tables away, a family of about 12 people were... More

Really beautiful and charming hotel centrally located in Postano with a wonderful garden and welcoming service. We were fortunate to stay there in the historic wing at the end of May/early June when the jasmine was blooming...heavenly breakfasts in the garden. If you are not staying there, at least go for a drink in the afternoon or evening when you... More

The Palazzo Murat, is unique amongst the grand old palazzo hotels in Positano. All the others were built high up on the hillside for defensive reasons. The Palazzo Murat was located much lower down and thus is in the heart of Positano with much easier access to restaurants, boutiques, galleries, beach, and the ferries. While the rooms in the old... We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had a wonderful meal there in beautiful surroundings in the Courtyard.

Had lunch at this hotel restaurant, in part because it had a sign posted alluding to a Michelin rating (which I cannot believe after our experience). Most annoying was the extremely slow service and seeing our waiter looking at his phone, either texting or doing something else online, for 90% of the time. I have never seen a waiter in... More

Room was lovely. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful & all spoke excellent English. The hotel was in a great location, we made use of the parking which was really convenient.
