My wife and I are in our late 60s, in good health with only 1 bum joint between us. We are not big hikers, but like a scenic walk. I was very interested in this trail, so we took the suggestion of several other contributors: Took the local bus from Positano to Nocelle, followed the signs to the trail, and... More

Steep hills and a stunning sea view, a very beautiful landscape. Easy to find the path but also a bit challenging as the path goes up and down and sometimes with lots of stairs. Nice to bring your own picnic for lunch!

It's possible to adjust the experience to your time limitations. For example, for an easier day hike: we took a bus up from Positano to Nocelle (20 minute ride, less than $2), hiked toward Agerola with a picnic, looped back to Nocelle and bused back to Positano. We hiked/climbed 3-4 hours and enjoyed the views without experiencing the exhaustion of... More

I had the pleasure of doing this walk in April. We were staying in Positano and took a bus to Amalfi to then catch another bus to Bomerano. The buses were not running to Bomerano very frequently so we took a taxi from Amalfi. The Bomerano stop might have been hard to find as the bus stops are not clearly... More

Slightly precarious at times, but the views are spectacular and the walking is quite easy. Start at Bomerano and finish at Nocelle to avoid too much climbing. This has to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world.

I took the bus from Amalfi to Bomerano and then walked to Colle La Serra, Nocelle, Monte Pertuso and then down to the main road above Positano where I caught the Sorrento to Amalfi bus back to Amalfi. About a 4-5 hour hike. It's a long hike but just amazing scenery. Bring a water bottle and some food. There are... More

We began our hike in Praiano and climbed the 1200 stairs to the old monastery/convent of San Domenico where we were greeted by the caretaker - a very pleasant fellow who was gracious and welcoming. After the strenuous 45 minute hike up, we sat down and enjoyed a fresh lemonade and platter with meats, cheese, olives and crackers for only... More

Takes about 4-5 hours for the non novice hiker. Bring water and some snack to refuel with. i would advise not starting at the stepos to Nocelle..there are 1700 steps to climb!

We got a lift to Bomerano and walked to Nocelle, it was a comfortable 2 and a bit hour walk. The path is pretty good with only short sections that are rough and uneven, I would recommend sturdy shoes. We then descended on the path and stairs to Positano. This direction does make the walk easier but there are still... More

We got a bus to Nocelle from Positano (La Sponda stop) at just after 08:00 which is relatively early for many visitors to the area. From Nocelle, we then walked the Sentiero degli Dei ("path of the Gods") through to Bomerano, which was a comfortable 3 hour walk with reasonable rest breaks. Note that Bomerano is 200m higher than Nocelle... More
