My wife and I just got back from a two-week tour of Italy and have got to say that this was the undisputed highlight of our trip. We toured the beautiful winery and grounds with Anna Rita, a Master Sommelier, who gave us a thorough education in the history of the region, the winery and the complete wine-making process from... We are friends from Iceland who did both wine tasting and cooking class and had such a wonderful time. It was for us very interesting to see the winery and Anna Rita told us so much we never new about wine making. We saw for first time how they make sparkling wines and that was incredible. After the tour we... More

Our visit to Decugnano dei Barbi was certainly a highlight of our holiday in Italy. We are a family of five, with children aged 13,11 and 8, and when our taxi arrived at the end of the day, none of us wanted to leave! The grounds of the estate are idyllic, with views of Orvieto in the distance. Anna Rita... More

I would like to echo the other positive reviews here. We had a great time - the scenery is spectacular, walking the vineyards and the caves was fun, the class was well done.. and the apres-class dinner where we ate our own creation was lovely. Anna Rita was our guide and Rosanna was our cooking instructor - they were both... More

If you are staying in Umbria - particularly near Orvieto or in the vicinity - I would highly recommend this one-of-a-kind and memorable cooking class/tour of the Decugnano Dei Barbi wine estate. Be warned - The drive to the estate is through a rural and winding road that takes you up into the hills, but you are rewarded at the... More

We had a fantastic time at Decugnano Dei Barbi. Anna has a wealth of knowledge and passion - about Orvieto, the vineyard itself and wine in general. She was a brilliant guide. The tour was fascinating, the cooking was lots of fun, and the food and wine were delicious.

In May we took our second cooking class within eighteen months at Decugnano Dei Barbi and enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time. Despite having been there before, we managed to get lost on the way, and Anna Rita and Rosanna were graciously forgiving of our tardy arrival. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us for this class,...
