beautiful town located just 15 miles from the Villa Astra that we stayed at for a week. Be prepared to walk and make sure you stay away from the time 1pm -4pm as most of the town is closed down for their long lunches and resting. There are several small outside seating restaurants that are great for an afternoon snack... More

Thjis was the city that we visited after Pienza. Tuscany was the only part of our 2 week Italy trip where we used/needed a car. We dutifully followed Rick Stevens instructions about where to park (you never want to go into any of these town/cities) and it worked out perfectly. Four, it's small enough to see a lot in a relatively short time. And fifth and best of all the scenery is incredibel. The wine in some of the... More

Just wander the beautiful streets, go inside the stone churches and see the wonderful store front windows. Please don't forget to enjoy some of the wonderful wine and do take some home. What a lovely visit we had just South of Siena in this gorgeous town. Go down below to the Sanctuary of San Biagio. We loved this gem of... More

This is one of the only places in the world where you will see the most beautiful sunrise in the morning and a few yards further and 14hours later, you will see the most beautiful sunset.
