Took this ride as a 'must do' whilst staying in Montecatini. A nice walk through the gardens brings you to this piece of history. Very reasonably priced return ticket, and a ten minute slow climb up to the old town. Wonderful views all round, and then lunch in the old square to enjoy an area unchanged for many years. Don't... Nice ride. And Montecatini Alto is beautiful. The funicolare was easy to reach and good alternative to get back and forth from Terme to Alto.

Great little funicular Railway, lovely views and photo opportunities on both journeys. Good value, only 7 euros return. Be aware they stop between 1pm and 2:30 for lunch. So plan your trip around these times, maybe stop for lunch at one of the restaurants?

Beautiful experience thrilling views. A unique experience that can only happen in Italy!!! The climb is well worth the breathless moments as the cable car slowly ascends to Montecatini Alto.

This ride costs seven Euros return per person to transport you to Montecartini Alto. We thought it was worth it for the experience. We enjoyed the views on the way up and down and loved exploring the town on top of the hill. It is a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Once at the top, we... More

This little railway costs 7 euros for a return trip from Montecatini Terme upto Montecatini Alto and takes 8 minutes, but gives you stunning views across this wonderful part of Tuscany. You can sit in the car or you can stand on the railed platforms at either end of the car. Great photo opportunity.

This lovely little cablecar railway is a must when you visit Montecatini Terme. the views are outstanding when you walk around the small town at the top. There are shops and restaurants and cafes to people watch as you admire the scenery. I would highly recommend this trip.

Imagine yourself being 117 years old! Perhaps stupid, but the funicolare is exactely that age, and it is still going strong!! The tour is about 1 kilometre long and covers a 200 metres as- or descend. The staff is friendly and helpfull, and the view is stunning!
