Before our trip to Tuscany, we researched what would be the best way to see the major cities and towns. We picked Montecatini as a base for day trips to Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Pisa, and the Cinque Terre. Montecantini proved to be well worth spending time in as as well, and not only for it's waters. The... More

Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier are on a billboard as we walk to the spa, this is noting like at home. The roman architecture, salty mineral water that's a panacea for all ills. Take your time to enjoy the surrounds, grab a coffee and walk the grounds, lovely a must see!

My wife and I like visit different mineral water resorts. Compare to other europian resorts (Baden-Baden, Karlovy Vary, Austrian resorts, etc) Montecatini Terme spa buildings in very poor condition. Also we were surprised of 14 euros per person per day charge for mineral water drinking. We did not see this neither in USA (Saratoga Springs, Manitou Springs, etc) nor in... More

We did not use the spa services since we were in the town to enjoy that leg of the Giro d'Italia. We spent the morning in the old town on top of the mountain (Alto) and then visited the spa before the cyclists started to arrive. The town was awash in pink, the Giro's color. The town, spa and Alta... More

Evidently, the spas in Montecatini Terme are a series of places, not just one building or location. I was confused until I figured that out. I went there on a day trip from Lucca, which I suggest doing because it was quite convenient. From the train station, the spas are just a few blocks walk. I found the town itself... More

My partner and I had the thermal pool experience for 1 hour (which is plenty of time). It was really relaxing and the facilities were very clean and smart. Its a little strange as it feels a but like having a nice warm bath with 10 other people, only 1 of whom you actually know. You don't need more than... More

Spa services are basically the same everywhere but if you are looking for a grand experience you must try the Tettucio water therapy. The location is jaw dropping: Picture a Roman bath. For 14 Euros one is given a drinking glass and entrance to the grounds. There are four therapeutic waters that are to be drunk in sequence. I suffer... More

We were blown away by the spa, lots to look at, and the grounds outside were lovely to walk around. Sculptures and paintings galore.

The Tettucio Spa is close to the hotel and is an excellent place to spend a morning in the grandeur of its superb buildings and landscaped gardens. We had lunch there, listening to the pianist and singer.

Just a beautiful Spa. Very grand. So quiet when we visited , lovely to wonder through the gardens if you have the time and it's not too hot ! Attended an evening orchestral concert , wonderful.
