Molveno is a spectacular lake set in the mountains high over Lake Garda. It may be a bit crowded in summer but once you have find a car park (not difficult in a paying park) you go on the lake side that is a mix of green lawn and course sand, with lots of tree shade and play activities. Then... More

We are staying nearby for several weeks, and have visited Molveno three times already, we love it so much. This weekend we decided to stay overnight and even though it was a weekend and it was busy it was still so beautiful. We love the way the town is situated at one end and the rest of the lake is... A stunning place but we made the big mistake of visiting the lake in July when the place is mobbed - thousands of people, thousands of cars and even a helicopter flying people over the lake - so even if you can ignore the people you can't just close your eyes and enjoy the peace and quiet. It took us... More

It takes approximately 2:30 hours (11km) to do the trip around the lake. It's a must do in Molveno. You can admire a spectacular landscape, see different kind of fishes. It's recommended also for bikers. You will find a carpark near the lake, then you follow the signals.

We walked around the lake which I estimate is about eight miles. The footpaths are clean and well maintained but are mainly natural and therefore you do need sensible footwear. Good quality Trainers were adequate in fine weather. On the day we did our walk numerous thunder storms, with torrential rain, reduced the footpaths to muddy rivers and I wished... More

Much smaller than Garda, but very nice. Only a very short walk from shops and hotels. Fairly challenging walk (11 km right round), but pleasant lakeside picnic site and chidren's playground. Only problem wind seems to get up and blow along the valley in the afternoons. local bus service from Trento

The walk up into the town was steep. We loved the views and the walks. Good crazy golf course, many walks suitable for the elderly. Crystal-clear water in the lake. The park was well-cared for and very pretty. There were two hard tennis courts in the park and two good children's playgrounds.

There is a great walk for all levels around Lake Molveno and you can also include the upper lake. The town of Molveno is a very charming town and the people are very friendly. A truly lovely area to visit, Irene

On a walking holiday based in Molveno we were taken around the lake on the first day to ease us in. It was spectacular, a simple to follow but constantly changing path with new vistas at every turn. Woods, lake and mountainside all the way. I had understood there were refreshments at some point but not when we were there,... More
