Donnafugata was created in Sicily by an enterprising family with 160 years’ experience in premium wines. The adventure began in the Rallo family’s historic cellars in Marsala in 1983 and at its Contessa Entellina vineyards in the heart of western Sicily. In 1989 Donnafugata arrived on the island of Pantelleria, starting to produce naturally sweet wines. « less

What do I actually mean by my title? What I am saying is that a visit to this winery was a basic generic visit as to any other winery you may visit. It didn't have any special information or feeling that sets it apart from so many other wineries. It was the basic "We are the ABC winery, we use... More

Dear Giacomo, we are sorry to hear you did not appreciate our basic tour and tasting € 10 p.p. which from our point of view can hardly be compared with a service of 80 €. Anyhow, we take this opportunity to inform you that we offer different tasting options (plain wine tasting, wine tasting paired with food, vertical tasting etc.)... More

My husband and I visited Donnafugata in Dec 2013, and arrived there without prior boooking. We took the afternoon tour of the distillery. Our tour guide John was extremely knowledgeable and told us a lot about it's history and cultural influences. The sweet smelling oak-barrels filled room where some of their best wines are kept for maturing was a sight... More

We booked our tour in advance. Drove the hour to get to winery. Our gps took us directly to our destination. However, we still could not find it! The Donnafugata sign faces the oceanside, we arrived from the other way. Needless to say we had a difficult time finding the entrance. We were late but were greeted by our guide... More

Me and my husband visited Donnafugata in mid September 2013. We really enjoyed the experience and would surely visit again, and bring with us some friends. The experience is really great and I really enjoyed the different type of wines that we have tasted. We really enjoyed the desert wine and then we bought a grappa of this desert wine.... More

Make arrangements via website... site has security and were very helpful when arriving by large travel van. Friendly and welcoming, they advised us of a slight delay, Host was well gifted in several languages, and the tour was interesting, the labels are worth paying attention to as they display the link to the culture of the area. The wine cooling... More

My girlfriend and I went to Marsala from Trapani to get a taste of the delicious and famous Marsala Wine, but ended up at Donna Fugata, which was the best we got to do during our time on Sicily. We went on a wine tasting tour (duration aprox 1,5 hour) with a great presentation by a great guide and got... More

We were not lucky to make a trip at winery shop... We were advised by tourist information that winery had daily tours, hovewer at day of our visit there was no tour on afternoon time, due to special reservations. Winery representative was really sorry hearing that we were advised incorrectly in tourist office, she recommended visitors should always call and... More

Donna Fugata winery and the nearby Florio both work on a similar premise, that is quite different from wine tastings in North America. We expected the winery to be open to public at all times even if one doesn't take a tour, but this was not the case. Florio however, does have a public wine shop one can visit without... More

In the US, Donnafugata is one of the best know Sicilian producers, but in most of the US, we do not have access to their full line of products. The best part of this tour is the opportunity to determine the number wines you taste and the mix – red/white – of wines you taste which may give you exposure... More
