Went from Malcesine to Riva and back.Reduction for over 65's. Our ticket said - no intermediate stops so if we had wanted to stop at Limone there must be an other way to buy tickets. Most people went downstairs as it got a bit cold and windy but ok outside if you were well wrapped up.

Prompt efficient clean does an excellent job spring timetable up to May reduced service but you can still visit most of the upper lake easily. Limone is a good choice for a trip plenty of shops and cafes to visit. Some nice walks and views

We always use the ferries when we visit Malcesine because they offer the best way to visit the other towns around the north end of the lake such as Limone,Torbole and Riva del Garda as well as having great views on your journey of the lake and mountains in comfort. The ferries offer toilet facilities as well as food and drinks... We planned to take the ferry from Malcesine to Desenzano in October, but unfortunately did not realize the fast ferry boat had ended service for the season. So, we rode the slow boat. It was pleasantly scenic, but many of the tourists blocked all the view seats and would not change places, for hours. So, can be difficult to find... More

You must visit Limone and tour the Museum. Very cool -- details the history of this community through the lemon orchards and how they were grown through the inclement weather. Beautiful waterfront. Ferry was easy, on time, and well-priced.

We got the ferry at Malcesine, a lovely pleasant town on Lake Garda. It's a great place for photos. I went to one of the best ice-cream shops ever; it was on a corner just before going down to the ferry terminal. There was an amazing choice of flavours. The ferry was clean, punctual and well maintained. It made stops at... More

Very pretty town, very interesting to explore with an old castle and museum. If you climb to the top of the bell tower you have splendid views of Malcesine and if you take the cable car to the top of Monte Baldo the views over Lake Garda are great. If you love taking photographs Malcesine is a photographers delight.

My wife and I took the ferry from Riva all the way down the lake to Desenzano which stops at 11 different towns and villages on both sides of the lake along the way so in our opinion its the ideal way of seeing the whole of lake Garda. Its15 euros each which considering the distance travelled and it takes... More

. There are many different types of transport you may use when on holiday but the Lake Garda ferries are one of the nicer, more relaxing ones. Lake Garda is a very large, beautiful lake and one way to get around and see it is to get the ferry. It can take a long time to travel the length of... More
