Go inside!

The most beautiful church I've ever been to. Really easy to find, just off the main square. Must see!

The church is magnificent from out side and inside opens morning and evening. . Attached to an old building used by government and you can go across it. Note# Take Care ..beside the church there is a tourist agency called Santa Croce Viaggi NEVER TRUST them they victimize tourist. we asked for a car tour to Ostoni and Alberobello and... More

This church is the essence of what makes Lecce such a beautiful place to visit: the architecture, and especially the stone-carving, are simply unmissable.

It's a stunning building both inside and out. It's a pity though that there's scaffolding outside so you can't see it in all it's glory. Inside you find a beautifully decorated church with a wonderful ceiling and many fantastically detailed sculptures. It's dimly lit inside which is a pity, but it's worth a visit if you enjoy architecture and art

Lit at night it is so unbelievable detailed and crafted. Looks just incredible. You can stand and look for a long time and discover new motives . We loved it. It is at the very end of the old city.

Unbelievable baroque façade, you could spend hours just to discover and enjoy the details. The interior is more sedate, the additions to its well-proportioned structure by the baroque altars I found a bit tiring. A must see in this lovely city.

The basilica is lovely, but if you get a chance return to visit it at night. The buildings are up lit and are quite spectacular. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of a wedding as it is a popular place to make photos.

One of the nicest all over Italy. Exterior wall sculptures are very impressive. Dim lighting in the church does not override the decorative beauty.
