Staying at Bergamo I had the choice between a trip to Lake Como or Iseo which I hadn't even heard of - but from the moment we arrived in the town of Iseo - went to the ferry & by chance had an immediate 20 minute trip to Monte I ( forget the name) which turned out to be a... More

This is a "small" lake compared to Como and the others but quite large actually. Beautiful views everywhere. Take the reasonably priced ferry to the island and walk around, go to the beach, shop or enjoy the restaurants. The ferry ride is wonderful just to enjoy the sights. Not as busy or touristy as the other lakes.

Instead of the usual Garda trip we opted for a Lago d'Iseo trip and took a bus to Lovere.. beautiful stunning setting! So peaceful and quiet, but plenty of cafes and restaurants around, only 1 hour from Bergamo. Can't wait to go back!

I did three big lakes tour on a Ducati Multistrada this time around. Lakes Garda and Como are very impressive themselves but I fell in love with this smaller lake.

Beautiful Lake, despite being substantially smaller than the better known Lake Como and Lake Garda, both very close by. It is not as touristy and this could be better for many. There are quite a number of villages on the shore line. Recommended.

This lake is really beautiful. It´s not so famous like Como or Garda, but for me it´s much nicer. There is an exceptional road around the western bank when you go from Sarnico to Lovere - you are nearly in the water which you have on one side, from the other side there is a rock. Another beautiful place is... More

The home of the microwaved panini. Some lovely spots on the lake, the islands, views from Monte Isola down towards Paratico and Iseo town. The white factory on the bank near Tavernola is a shame and unfortunate intrusion into a dramatic setting. Disappointed with Sulzano and Sale Marasino but other locations more than make up for it. Iseo town was... More

We liked Lago d Iseo and I would say it is as picturesque as Como and Garda, perhaps even more due to the majestic island of Monteisola. However I found the towns of Lago d Iseo rather too quiet and we did not seem to find much to do. I have to admit that we went in October so perhaps... More
