We stayed at Riva del Garda, north end of Lake Garda for 1 week in late Sept 09. There are several towns to visit but the best seem to be Sirmione, Salo, Marcesine, Limone and Riva. Arrived back from Garda on Lake Garda 25/06/05 after ten blissful days. Weather was perfect, steadily creeping up in temperature, 34 degrees one day.
