We loved walking around centro storico after a day of skiing, shopping, looking at restaurants, stopping for a spritz. I was told that Cortina is supposedly not as it was 15 years ago, when it was at Its most popular, but we loved everything about it and would come back without hesitation.

Excellent for a Town in the Mountains! Beautiful churches, and a nice central street with old recovered buildings. The shops are expensive, but Cortina is a posh location for ski. We spent 7 days skiing and it was always nice to walk in the center in the afternoon and at night.

We have visited the town late September and there is nothing special in the centro storico in terms of shops, restaurants, landmarks or architecture. Probably the town is beatiful with snow. The town is more of a parking place for Dolomiti excursions. So don't preserve more than half day for centro storico.

Cortina has always held something of a magical appeal as the heart of the Dolomites and playground of the rich. But unfortunately the reality didn't fit with the perception. Cortina is surrounded by lovely views, but the town itself is not what i expected. The shops are mainly expensive designer stuff. The centre of town is nice but lacking something, not a feeling of being able to sit and relax in a friendly cafe to watch the world go by.

A simply gorgeous, quaint town. The mountains in the background makes it all a sight to behold. So easy to find your way around.

The center of the town is easy to get around and the sights visible and user friendly, the murals and paintings on the historical buildings are worth it but most of the views you get a cricked neck.
