Tofana is the main ski area of Cortina but do spend a day over on this side. Head to Cristallo and the Mietres lift first thing as the snow goes off by midday. The run off here is steep and fun. Faloria offers lots of long treelined runs. Huts on the hill are a bit patchy and the navigation is... More

Brilliant views of the Dolomites. Cable car up from right in Cortina d"Ampezzo, and plenty of walking trails in summer.

Loved the skiing and the Italian Alps. The resort seems more massive than Austrian Alps in Innsbruck area, but both are varied and wonderful. Prices much more reasonable than skiing in Colorado (Not Park City necessarily)

Huge terrain, varied runs from beginners to black runs with off piste skiing alongside the groomers. Make sure you get over to Cristallo and take the old lift up the big run above the field - huge long fall line run, no crowds and fantastic scenery and conditions - not to be missed.

This comment is perhaps unduly influenced by three straight days of incredible sunshine, temperatures hovering just below 0C, and a complete lack of wind. Snow conditions were superb, crowds weren't a problem, and the skiing was spectacular. Cortina has also had 27' of snow this year (the most since 1951) so please don't read this review and assume every year... More

Queues at the Faloria gondola station took 40 minutes and be prepared to be squashed in with masses of others

Good variety of slopes to suit all abilities, Good food in the restaurants and great scenery. One side of the gondola wasn't working so took time to get up and down the mountain.

We are a skiing family. This tops anything we've ever done (Tahoe, Colorado). Small restaurant/bars all over the place. We had two lunches that I describe as "at the top of the world." The lunch places at the tops of lifts 57 and 21 should not be missed (esp. 21).

My wife and I recently took the Funivia Faloria to the Rifugio Faloria and did some hiking from there. The views are breathtaking. It is possible to hike to Tre Croces from Faloria on a well marked trail. However other trails are poorly marked. If your goal is simply to enjoy the views and do some modest hiking, this is... More
