A not-so-exhausting walk up the rock rewards you with a 360° view of the north coastline. Most impressive is the birds-eye-view of Cefalu old town. Start in the morning to avoid the hot summer sun.

A good way to spend an hour or two but go up when it's not too hot and bring water. Great views and a nice breeze!

We live in a country wher ther smallest hill is called a mountain. So: climbing 200 meters on a walk is a rarity for us. This is very rewarding, both for views and archeology

After a roam around Cefalù, I would deifnitely recommend the short hike up La Rocca in the late afternoon during summer, otherwise it is too hot. Unlike what is written in other guide books, the Comune di Cefalù have introduced an entry fee for La Rocca, €4 for adults and €2 for children, included with the price you receive a... More

This was the only unpleasant surprise upon arrival at the bottom of La Rocca: we had to pay to enter. Adults 4.00 Euros each and children 2.00 Euros. It is not much but after reading about the free entrance, we were not prepared to pay. However, it is so worth it! It is definitely a must while visiting Cefalu, and... More

We climbed La Rocca in the early morning hours (9.00 am) which is highly recommended as the afternoon sun and heat will make it a lot more difficult. Be sure to bring enough water as there is no shop or anything along the way or at the top. The view is really great and the old castle walls are impressive... More

It is absolutely worth seeing! La Rocca is ahhhmazing! It's 4 euro per person to get in. Bring along some water and your camera. It is sizzling hot up there. But when you occasionally feel this cool refreshing sea breeze in your face and see all the beauty around, all is forgotten!! My legs are still shaking from all the... More
