This was a tiring walk uphill but the view of the city from the top was nothing short of fantastic. Be sure to bring along water and wear good walking shoes. be careful as some parts of the walk can be slippery from polished stone walkways. The ruins on top were amazing, especially the tomb of Diana. The fee was... More

Not for the faint hearted . But well worth the €4 and the effort. The views are outstanding. We went late afternoon , around 5, and made it to the archieolgical site and the castle. Remember to take water .

It takes about thirty minutes straight up to get to the top. The temple is nothing but blocks and the castle is ho hum but the views are really special. If you have trouble with your knees or legs don't bother but if you are in relative good shape do it. There is a small fee and beware there are... More

The walk up was fantastic. What an amazing view! Well worth the climb. Don't eat the prickly pears! They will leave many tiny splinters in your hands.

We made this our activity in Cefalu based on the reviews we had read. It certainly provided some great views. It was quite breathtaking both from the vistas and the exhausting climb. Make sure that you pack some water in a backpack to help keep you going on the way up. There are several points along the way to get... More

Parked at street parking and walked through the old town to La Rocca passing the old church on the way. Enjoyed the walk to the top and the views even more. The bays and mountains were spectacular. Enjoyed a granita at a cafe on the way down. Could easily have made the day up on the sandy beach. Excellent day

On top of La Rocca, the view is great! Also on the way up, the nature is something to enjoy. Tip: go early enough to be there before all the tourists show up!

Climb up to La Rocca and find a great view and several sights. Tip: wear shoes/sandals and not flip-flops.

We took off for our walk at 10:15am on a summer day... We had our walking shoes on and loads of water. The walk up was ok and before you know it you're at spectacular views over Cefalu. Along the way there is explanations of the buildings and other interesting sites that are in Italian and English. We were satisfied... More

We picked an early morning to make the trek up La Rocca and I'm sure glad we did. My small group is all fit and enjoyed the walking climb but I can see where it might be taxing later in the day's heat or if you went up without water. There are improved steps up to Temple de Diane but... More
