Cefalu was an easy train ride from Palermo... just about an hour. Short walk to main centre from the Cefalu train station. Such a quaint little town, with lovely shops and seaside views. We spent the afternoon on the beach. Great deal the day we went... two beach chairs 5 euros in total. The beach was so relaxing, the water... More

We visited Cefalu Beach from Palermo on a Thursday. Took the train from Palermo Centrale, cost about 12€ return and took roughly an hour each way. Short walk from the station to the beach. There's heaps of public beach space which was really nice, or beach chairs and umbrellas to hire. The sandy beach was lovely, and the water flat... More

This little "fishermen's" town has everything you need on Sicily - stunningly beautiful beach, lovely little town full of narrow beautiful streets, amazing restaurants, La Rocca that takes your breath away, and plenty of restaurants to have a perfect meal. Cefalu is one of our favourite spots on Sicily and none of you should miss it if anywhere around, and... More

The sand is very soft and the sea is very clean and warm, but your enjoyment is constantly interrupted by North African etc beach sellers who keep pushing you to buy cheap sunglasses, selfie sticks etc. and when you refuse, some of them are very rude. The spoil the whole beach experience

Cefalu is a great location to start or end you Sicily trip. We started here, and it is so charming & relaxing. We stayed at Lirma B&B, which was less than two blocks from the beach. This town is very walkable, and has many great places to eat and lovely small stores for shopping.

Nice sandy beach with old town is perfect scenery. Water is clean and clear, we really enjoyed it. Just it was so hot, be sure to come early in the morning to find a spot or to book in advance sunbed in some of beach bars

Cefalu is postcard perfect. On the North coast of Sicily, towered by a steep rock, surrounded by beaches, beautiful cathedral and square, narrow fisherman streets. If you visit off season, it is really wonderful. The town is on a long beach with crystal clear water , where you can swim from May to October. Unfortunately during the season is overrun... More
