Cefalu is a hidden gem. We were there on a Sunday night. Everyone was dressed up and one could see families strolling around enjoying the ambiance. We also enjoyed strolling around and peeking into little shops and restaurants. The gelato was delicious...and on a bread bun...very different. I would love to spend a week there.

Been in the city for half a day, and wish to be more. Great beach and walk on the rocks near the water, developed city center with tourist and local shops and a large cathedral. Not as crowded as Palermo and very attractive to visit with children.

The beach is stunning as the ride from Paleromo, along the northern coast the colour of the sea is gorgeous. The town of Cefalu is quaint and the people are friendly and helpful. Nice cafes and an old cathedral church dominates this town. Definantly left beautiful memories hope to return one day.

Stayed in Mondello but was not impressed by beach.Travelled to Cefalu by train. What a difference! Clean , golden sand, clean walkways andbrilliant waves as it was a windy day! Beautiful, well kept village with good restaurants and shops.Coffee shops around a plaza by the cathedral, so typically mediterranean.

We spent 5 days in an apartment in the old quarter, booked through Airbnb. The location was a quick walk down a cobbled street to the sea or up the way to the fantastic Duomo. We loved wandering the streets but made it a mission to get an Aperol spritzer in the afternoon at the competitive cafes on the Piazza... More

The town of Cefalu is a very quaint, old town and the beaches are beautiful and very clean. It's very fun to stroll around the many small streets on your way to the beach. Once you have reached the beach you can enjoy it and the wonderful views.

By far one of the best beaches on the northern coast near Palermo. Beautiful beach, plenty of shopsx and restaurants a cathedral .......... Be wary of getting a parking ticket if you have a car, whoever deals them out is very vigilant we were only 10 mins over time !

i was told it is the best on the Sicilly coast, the beaches and old town is really tipicall and atractive, but personally i prefer Agrigento on the south coast... try it :) we were there in April 2004 actually

By day the beach is filled with bright umbrellas! There are ones you can rent, plus a public beach were you can bring your own!! Many places on the beach that serve food and drinks. Showers available ( small fee), bathrooms available. Music is playing from each eatery, and dancing around the sand is enjoyable. You can go from high... More
