We can't say enough good things about our afternoon at Tenuta Casanova. We arranged for a tour around 2 pm and were greeted by our wonderful guide who explained to us about the farm and the balsamic vinegar making process. After the tour we had an amazing lunch including a delicious faro salad, scrambled eggs with truffle oil (I think... More

Our tour guide, Gianni (Tours Around Tuscany) brought my family to this lovely farm where owners Rita and Silvano make their own wine, aged balsamic vinegar, honey, and other products. After tasting the sweet rich vinegars, we sat at a wonderfully spread table overlooking the hillsides of Chianti and tasted fresh food paired with delicious Tuscan wines. Silvano was gracious... We had a wonderful time at this authentic cooking school. It was a small class (6 in total) so we had lots of personal attention from the English speaking owner and his Italian speaking wife (Chef/Boss)! They were lovely and would recommend this to anyone visiting Tuscany. Their Balsamic Vinegar is delicious as was ALL the food we made in... More

Searching for authenticity, do not go there. Of course the place is lovelly and what is served is tasty, but it is maily an attraction for tourists. The visit of the property was short and explanations pretty blurry, as we knew more about Balsamic oil than the girl giving us the tour.. (not italian) We found that experience disapointing and... We were referred to Tenuta Casanova by somebody Gavin and I had met quite randomly at a farm nearby - and we are now forever in his debt. Our experience at Tenuta Casanova is unforgettable. We were taken on a tour of the cellar (olive oil & balsamic vinegar) and then treated to a fabulous lunch paired with wine, olive... More

What a wonderful, wonderful day!! The grounds of Tenuta Casanova were beautiful, which made for a lovely setting for our authentic Italian cooking class! We jumped right into a well-organized learning experience where we made four different kinds of bread-with olives, grapes, tomatoes, rosemary FRESH AND DELICIOUS!! We learned how to make homemade pasta, tiramisu, some other delicious lemon dessert,... More

My wife and I spent a very educational morning at the cookery class. We learnt loads about the traditional cooking methods in Tuscany under the close supervision of our hosts. The morning started off with a tour of the Vineyard, before we got down to business. Our teachers were superb and under their close supervision, we made beautiful raviolli, tagliettelli,... More

The owner is good salesman, he will convince you that his wines are some of the best in the region. He spoke to us about sulphites and how his wine doesn't contain any sulphites. We were very impressed and placed an order for a crate of wine to be shipped home. Upon delivery, we noticed that we did not receive... More

After reading so many positive reviews - and having had friends visit the farm and say it was great - we were excited to go to Tenuta Casanova. It ended up being the worst day of our trip - and the worst wine tour experience I have ever had. This is a place built for tourists coming to Florence for... More
