Staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived. Had a lovely tour of the farm, vineyard and cellar. We got to try a selection of lovely wine, balsamic vinegar and oils. The food paired with the wine was not only unexpected but some of the best food we have experienced in Chianti. Definitely would recommend this Wine Tasting Experience.

Tenuta Casanova is a completely charming vineyard and farm with fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside and incredible food. The couple who own and operate Tenuta Casanova are incredibly passionate about what they do and that is apparent in every aspect of the tour and tasting. Silvano is hospitable, funny, and highly enjoyable. His wife, Lavinia, prepares the most incredible... More

Tuscany is about wine and food. Tenuta Casanova is a place you want to experience. Make sure you book the "light lunch" when going. You will leave fulfilled. Silvano and his wife, are all about the organic farm products, his unbelievable balsamic vinegar, his organic olive oils with fresh truffles, and oh yeah, he makes a great bottle of Chianti... More

This was one of five wineries we chose to visit on our four day trip through Tuscany. From the start, we felt warmly greeted and made friends fast with Silvano and Lavinia. The lunch was outstanding, as were the wines, balsamic vinegars and the olive oil. 95% of our lunch came from their farm, making this a great organic experience... More

Incredible place for a wine tasting, olive oils and truffles. We were very well received by Silvano owner who explained everything about the place and made us feel very comfortable. At the end you can buy some products of the farm. The day was pretty cool, super recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and taken around the farm to see and learn all about the biodynamic farming practices and all the produce. We passed by lavender bushes, pigs, vines. We were taken into the balsamic vault underground and did a taste testing and learnt all about the production and taste of balsamic. Then up... More

Our tour guide, Anna Maria, informed us that we would be stopping here for a light lunch. When we arrived we were escorted down into the cellar to do a balsamic vinegar tasting. That was an incredible experience for us, we do not truly know what balsamic vinegar is, this was a huge eye opener for us. We had some... More

Our tour guide decided this was where we needed to go to lunch and I am so thankful! It was fabulous. After a peak into the wine cellar and vinegar room, we were treated to a traditional italian feast. The Spelt and Garbanzo Bean Salad was out of this world. Not to mention it was paired with a delicious Chianti..when... More

What an amazing experience. I've never had such a beautiful intimate time wine tasting. With the owner himself personally showing us around their estate and farm, into the wine cellar, and over to the beautiful spread where we dined. Best wine, best lasagna, best hosts. A MUST.

We visited Tenuta Casanova for wine tasting and lunch in July 2014 after reading the rave reviews... We walked away feeling it was an ok experience, not sure if it deserves all the acclaim. The property is set in the beautiful Tuscan hills close to Castellina in Chianti. Upon arrival the host girl, which was very friendly, ran us through a... More
