Visited in June and the place was empty. Granted, the weather wasn't great and it was mid week but literally nothing open. We got there in October during the chestnut festival- lots of roasted chestnuts over open fires that would absolutely appall safety-conscious American festival types but were sure fun to watch! Had the local boiled wine (!) and stayed for two nights. Didn't see or hear another American the entire time- nice

This is one hamlet worth a visit if in yhe Sibilinni area. The setting of the oldpart of town is lovely. It has a nice cafe with terrace overlooking the surrounding country side and mountains; the Bottega della Cuccagna ofers a great selection of local specialties and is worth a stop. Our next stop was the sleepy old town of Montemonaco. As we approached the old town, the views were once again spectacular with the older generation all sitting by a bar drinking espresso. One of the best memory of a 2 weeks trip in Italy ! The road to get there is magnificient, the town is so perfect .. a must.
