Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery. « less

I visited Villa la Ripa with my boyfriend thinking we were going to a wine tasting but we got so much more! Saverio gave a fantastic tour of the Villa la Ripa which has an incredible history (I don't want to spoil the tour so I won't give anything away). Saverio was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the house and... More

we enjoyed a tour and wine tasting here on our Excursion day from our cooking school, Casa Ombuto. Our handsome owner and guide, the ancient villa, the incredible wines, the spectacular vineyards, all contributed to a most amazing part of our journey in Italia! Still enjoying the wine here in Oregon. Grazie mille!

If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to visit Villa La Ripa, do not miss it! Truly excellent wine - but first and foremost - quality and personal toutch throughout the whole place as well as the way we were received by the owner, Mr.Saverio. If you are into art and history of architecture, the house is worth... More

In November 2012, we attended a cooking school in Tuscany near the picturesque town of Arezzo. As part of an excursion day, we toured the family vineyard of Villa La Ripa and met the owner Dr. Saverio Luzzi, a most charming and knowledgeable host. We purchased a case of Psyco after having the most remarkable tour of Dr. Luzzi’s villa.... More

Great place. Wonderful host. Superior wine. We were enthralled by our host and the history of the villa. You will miss something of the real Tuscany if you pass this up.

Wow! This was such a treat. We had a private tour by the owner, who is a neurologist by day... His wife is also a doctor... Smart passionate people! The villa is amazing and they have painstakingly preserved the original building and have marvelous stories to go with. The wine is excellent, and the passion of Luzzi Saverio makes it... More

I was in Arezzo for an equine veterinary congress and decided to go & visit Villa La Ripa. Dr Saverio Luzzi was most charming & gave me an interesting tour of his wonderful house & wine cellar. It has such an amazing history & has been beautifully restored by Dr Luzzi & his wife. I loved the formal Italian garden... More

My wife and I visited Villa La Ripa during cooking school. We had a great time and Saverio was the most gracious host. We brought back wine to share with our friends in Lubbock. The wine was very good and I would have given it 90 points. I can see why he wanted to make wine. I just wish I... More

Dr. Luzzi is much more than a gracious host. He is a heartwarming experience in the heart of Tuscany that is unforgettable. A trip to his Roman era villa is an incredible way to experience the warmth and generosity of the Italian people first hand. When my wife and I visited Villa La Rippa, we had no idea that we... More
