We’ve always been here, on the Chianti slopes of Arezzo, in the land of Tuscany, at Villa La Ripa, a Renaissance villa not far from Florence and Sienna. Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery.

Great wine, amazing Villa

The winemaker is a great story teller and the villa is almost as good as the wine. We got to tour the villa and hear and see the history as well as taste (and buy) the wine.

Saverio is an outstanding host and gave us a fabulous tour of his home & vineyard, followed by walking us through a great tasting of several of his wines. He's a true wine enthusiast and his passion for sharing his knowledge of wine is contagious. Not only is the wine delicious (and reasonably priced), but Saverio is also a great... More

While in Italy last week, we did a tour of Villa La Ripa in Arezzo. It is a relatively small vineyard owned by Saverio Luzzi. Saverio gave us a personal tour and was a gracious and perfect host. The wines we tasted were excellent and he explained the differences amongst them. If anyone is traveling in that region, I highly... More

Villa La Ripa is a small intimate winery and wine tasting experience. We had a lovely welcome from Silvia and enjoyed the tour of the ground floor. The kids were amazed that parts were one thousand years old and the wheat cellars piqued their interest. The wine tasting was excellent too. The SpazioLibero was delightful. The Peconio was beautiful, and... More

A truly historic venue with a marvellous story which produces fantastic wine. What more can I say. Worth a visit when you can or just get some wine on line

This visit was a highlight of our trip to Tuscany. Dr. Luzzi is charming, witty and very down to earth. He acted as if we were houseguests and provided an animated tour and tasting. At over 1,000 years old the villa is amazing! His wines were so good that we purchased 2 cases to be delivered to our home in... More

Started with a very interesting tour around the lovely little family owned property. Then had a very informative tasting session with the range of delicious wines they produce. They are obviously very passionate and proud of what they are doing there and rightly so. A great little day trip.

After driving up the mountain road behind the vineyard, we found some nice people to point us in the right direction and we arrived at Villa La Ripa. Sylvia found us in the parking area and gave us a very interesting tour of the property and its history, then off to the tasting. We tasted 4 wines (and bought multiple... More

I should add that Psycho is the name of the wine... because the owner is a psychologist by day and makes wine and manages the tours / tastings in his spare time. That said, he is extremely passionate about both the house and the wine, and is very entertaining and amusing. The wine is excellent, and we have several bottles... More
