We’ve always been here, on the Chianti slopes of Arezzo, in the land of Tuscany, at Villa La Ripa, a Renaissance villa not far from Florence and Sienna. Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery.

Started with a very interesting tour around the lovely little family owned property. Then had a very informative tasting session with the range of delicious wines they produce. They are obviously very passionate and proud of what they are doing there and rightly so. A great little day trip.

After driving up the mountain road behind the vineyard, we found some nice people to point us in the right direction and we arrived at Villa La Ripa. Sylvia found us in the parking area and gave us a very interesting tour of the property and its history, then off to the tasting. We tasted 4 wines (and bought multiple... More

I should add that Psycho is the name of the wine... because the owner is a psychologist by day and makes wine and manages the tours / tastings in his spare time. That said, he is extremely passionate about both the house and the wine, and is very entertaining and amusing. The wine is excellent, and we have several bottles... More

An authentic Italian wine tasting experience like no other. Dr luzzi s passion and enthusiasm and narrating skills about his winery and estate made it a day to remember. Sipping wine in a house with a history of a thousand years. Beliisimo !!

We arrived at Villa La Ripa with no expectations - this was our first visit to a Tuscan wine farm and villa... What a marvellous experience : Dr Luzzi's enthusiasm for the house, the vines, the wines and the 'terroir' was enthralling - wish we had time to explore a little more, learn a little more and savour the unique... Got a tip to go here by the local tourist information. Followed the signs and ended up at a locked gate. Rang the bell but no one opened. Went here another day and this time it was the owner him self who opened. Turns out we came a bit out of season and it was only opened for bigger parties... More

Villa La Ripa winery is located on an estate which includes the villa where Dr. Luzzi and his family live. Our group enjoyed a tour of the historic villa and tasted wines from 60-100 year old vines. A pleasant experience not to be missed if you are in Arezzo.

What a wonderful place to visit! An absolutely stunning property and a fantastic house with lots of history. The host was extremely welcoming and had great stories to share about the house! He explained the wine making process quite well and shared interesting details about the selection process they use to ensure the best quality. The wine was very good... More

After seeing all of the 5 star reviews, we decided to see if Villa la Ripa really could be as good as the ratings implied. We were not disappointed! We visited on May 13, 2015. Called at the last minute in the morning to arrange a wine tasting tour in the afternoon, and Cecilia graciously agreed to extend her day... More
