We’ve always been here, on the Chianti slopes of Arezzo, in the land of Tuscany, at Villa La Ripa, a Renaissance villa not far from Florence and Sienna. Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery.

Seriously...THANK YOU Trip Advisor! This was one of (maybe the top) highlights of our trip to Tuscany. Dr. Luzzi is a wonderful, passionate man. The time he spent with us was priceless. His assistant was just as committed and excited to show us around this magnificent home and winery. We didn't expect such a private, intimate treat on our drive... More

The home owner and wine maker is full of information about this historic site and how he became a wine maker. The wine is excellent and the home is beautiful.

This is no ordinary wine tasting experience. The owner Saverio greats you with a warm welcome and provides a interesting background of the grounds and the house. You then proceed to the interior and continue the tour of the main areas which is full of history and intesreting facts. You then proceed to the wine tasting with a wonderful selection... More

I have found that some tours can be rather than exhausting, long and boring - this was refreshing, surprisingly interesting and just the right amount of time. The owner tells his wonderful story surrounded by lovely furnishings, architecture and a magical history. I highly recommend!

We went to Villa La Ripa as part of a wine tasting tour while taking a cooking class vacation at Tuscookany in August of 2013. The owner (a practicing neurosurgeon) gave us a tour of the villa which is a historic building. The wine tasting was in a large elegant hall and very educational. His wines won various international awards.... More
