The night snorkel kayak tour was amazing with Aloha Kayak Co. Typically a bit scary to snorkel at night, however Iwa and his mate made it so easy for a party of 12 to kayak out anchor and help us in and out of our kayaks safely. I did not see the manta rays on my first trip out, however... More

We were so glad we booked our Captain Cook kayak tour with Aloha Kayak Co. When speaking with the owner Iwa, he was very personable and professional and answered all our questions/concerns. The guides for our tour, Jaye and Mikai, were awesome, easy going, and very knowledgeable on not only the Captain Cook history, but other areas/things within Hawaii. We... More

Me and my wife had never been in a sea kayak except for one time when we rented a small glass bottom kayak in Maui. Makai (sp?) our guide was not only knowledgeable but extremely patient. Enjoyed the Captain Cook history lesson in the beginning. Getting into the kayak was challenging due to the swells but Makai made it easy.... More

We stopped into the new shop on the road down to the Kealakekua Bay. Shop only opened 7 days prior. Had a delicious shaved ice and then started speaking with the owner. He is an extremely knowledgable and passionate bloke. He has a photo history of Hawaii around the walls of the shop and the way he told the story... More

Michael was a great guide! Kayaking across the Kealakekua bay was wonderful. Excellent snorkeling at the Captain Cook area. Lots of fishes.

We took the 5 hour Kealakekua Bay and Captain Cook Monument kayak/snorkel tour and loved it! We are a family of 4 with a 10 and 13 y/o, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The snorkeling was exceptional. Only complaint really was the area got a bit crowded when the Fair Wind II showed up with hundreds aboard. Loved the history... More

Our first excursion on Big Island was with Aloha Kayak and our awesome guide, J. My husband and I were excited to get out on the water and thanks to some guidance from the owner of Aloha, we decided to do the 3-hr kayak tour to Captain Cook monument rather than the longer paddle to the caves (which would have... My husband, two sons and one of my daughters went on the 5 hour tour with Aloha Kayak. We had visited the bay on another trip to the Big Island with Sea Paradise and had enjoyed it so much that we wanted to go again but have a different experience. After looking on the internet and speaking to several companies,... More

Agree with the previous, positive reviews. Buddy was a thoughtful, helpful and experienced guide. We kayaked out to the place where the manta rays gather -- a short and easy paddle, then jumped in with lights attached to an extra life jacket. Although it was crowded with groups from several large boats, it didn't matter at all -- we were... More

Very worthwhile. Great, knowledgeable guides. Nice reef. Lots of spinner dolphins on both trips over. Went with 3 adult and 3 teens. All happy.
