My two teens and I had the pleasure of participating in the Manta Ray Kayak Tour. This experience was one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. Our guide, Julie, was kind and patient and informative about the entire process. We kayaked to a spot where we got into the water and floated with our snorkels while the mantas... More

My husband booked a three-hour kayak and snorkel trip to Cook Island during our stay on Hawaii. The experience was amazing! Once we arrived at the shop, we were fitted for and given snorkel gear to use for the day. After hearing a short history of the island and monument, we headed down the water in our own vehicles, caravan-style.... More

Reserved this trip weeks in advance, I called the day before to confirm due to the windy weather forecast. He said to call back in the morning. I called all morning long and got no answer, the calls went to a voice box that was full. 8 of us drove an hour to get to his shop, waited over an... More

We found their ad in the 101 things to do in Hawaii magazine. Called them and set up the appt for the next day. Easy to do. First had a very interesting lecture on the history of the area. Learned a lot of facts about what happened in the Bay. Then drove to the bay for kayaking. We then kayaked... More

On my visit to the Big Island last year I used Aloha Kayak and could not say enough good things about them - their guides were great and their customer service was phenomenal. I learned so much about the area, the history and the nature around me. I'm not sure what happened in the past year but the feeling just... More

We had booked both the manta ray snorkel tour and the kayak afternoon excursion for the next day. The night tour was very poorly organized. It was a group of 4(two couples). We were driven to the dock but by John, but the guy who was suppose to take us out on the water was not there, so the son-in-law... More

The primary reason to use this company is that they have a permit to land at the Captain Cook Monument. While the snorkeling is sensational and well worth the trip, the company was not all that great. There were only four of us on our trip--we were told we would be on the water 3.5 hours and to allow 4.5... More

Tour guide Julie gave great historical background talk for Kealakekua Bay and Captain Cook memorial. Then she lead us on approx a 1 mile paddle across the bay to the memorial. The memorial sits at the edge of a beautiful and pristine coral reef loaded with colorful fish and even a ray. Perfect spot for snorkeling and just the right... More

Chose this kayaking company as they are ranked as one of the top 3 on the Big Island in various publications. If you're expecting just an ocean paddle, you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The "tour" starts off with a very informative but casual history of the Hawaiin Islands followed by a 10 - 15 minute drive to the ocean.... More
