One of many places we visited in Ireland was the Dingle Peninsula. The scenery while driving down from Adare and getting closer was really nice and the hills were growing and the views just kept getting better and better. The town of Dingle is a really nice sea side town with boat tours, dolphin watching and the famous Fungi the... More

Following on from the Ring of Kerry we then drove around most of the Dingle Peninsular. The lady in the shop was correct as it much more open and consequently the views are more spectacular. If like us you have limited time in the area I would recommend yo do this drive instead of the Ring of Kerry. If you... More

What better way to start your day than to take in a section of this unspoilt and idyllic walk. It was exhilarating, beautiful, refreshing and certainly blew away the cobwebs. I had encounters with some of the local wildlife, took a wealth of photographs and best of all I had it all to myself.

The Dingle Peninsula in the west of Ireland was once referred to by National Geographic as the most beautiful place on Earth. We walked part of the Dingle Way from Dingle to Dunquin on a stunning sunny day and I can honestly say it was the most beautiful walk we ever took. You need to be reasonably fit as it... More

the Dingle peninsula is a stunning part of the Irish west coast, if the weather is on your side there are lots of beautiful walks with lovely scenery or you can go and see the dolphin that resides in the harbour, there are some wonderful restaurants around the dingle peninsula with regular live irish music

If you like wild scenery, nature (especially birds) and walking you will not be disappointed here. We went both ways round these roads. Clockwise is best. The more often you stop (park with consideration) and walk on the many paths the better. Weather can be variable so take rain protection and good footwear (and binoculars).

Tour will make a circle around the region eventually getting back to Dingle town. It would take about an hour without stops. The eastern edge near the Ocean will take you through some small villages. Ballyferrier is one such small village. It is the only place up close where I heard the people speak Irish-Celtic. They also can of course... More

driving along the Dingle Peninsula was a breathtaking experience. I felt blessed all the way along for the opportunity to testify such an heavenly scenery! Obviously, driving is not always an easy task in sometimes very narrow roads, but that is a small price to pay! Felt closer to Heaven!

My family and I toured Ireland over the course of 10 days and our time in Dingle was our favorite. We probably wouldn't have visited Dingle but for the recommendation of a friend, whose wife grew up in Ireland. I'm really glad we didn't miss it. It is so beautiful, less touristy than other areas and everyone we met was... More

he Dingle peninsula was one the top highlights of our 14 day Ireland vacation. Around every turn were scenic landscapes more beautiful than the last. There were beaches, island, rolling mountains and walking trails through all of it. Now you know why so many movies have been filmed there.
