Great for skaters and non skaters alike

Unusual museum on a very Dutch topic. Amazing collection of memorabilia of Dutch Ice Skating going back over a hundred years, for three euros well worth a visit.

This was nice for a walk through. This museum is packed with everything concerned with ice-skating. You have to be a sport and/or speed-skating enthousiast to realy appreciate this fully stuffed set of rooms. Worth a visit when you are in this small city.

This museum is about skating, speedskating, and the Elfstedetocht. Speed skating is king in The Netherlands; the Elfstedetocht (eleven cities skating race) is the pinnacle of the sport. This museum celebrates both of these. It looks small on the outside but there is a lot there; there are several rooms with an incredible number of artifacts. A fascinating display explained... More
