We stopped for breakfast on the way to the Garden Route and found the food very tasty service very efficient and farm stall variety of home baked food outstanding. So much that we made a special plan to stop on the way back and we're not disappointed. Had juicy steak pies and fresh spinach and feta quiche. Will definitely go... More

Delicious chicken broccoli salad! Paired with an ice cold Appletiser - at the home of this beverage. Lekker! We'll stop again next trip

We had lunch here on our way home from Elgin, and it was great. The food is fresh and tasty, and the staff are friendly. I didn't look at the gifts and baked goods for long, but there were plenty of things to see!

I understand that you have to make a mark up on wines jams etc , but your prices are excessive , Raka wine at over R100 , when Spar charge under R60 ,if you dont believe me pop in and check the wine prices for your selves , preserved figs for R 58 , etc etc etc its one thing... More

Dear George After reading your post, I thought for a moment that our suppliers must be fleecing us as our mark ups are very reasonable! So I did a quick comparison: Raka Spiced: Spar R54.99, Peregrine - R56. Raka Figurehead: Spar - R98.99, Peregrine R103. Raka Biography: Spar R116.89, Peregrine R118. You'll see that the difference is marginal and I'm... More

We stopped by on a winter's day on the way home. We had pies from the shop and they are DEFINITELY something to write home about. They cost a little bit more than average, but are very much worth it. We had chicken and mushroom and springbok. The springbok pie was amazing. There was a well stocked farm stall; fruit... More

The home made pies were brilliant. Tons of filling, tons of flavour. The apples and fresh figs were delicious and reasonably priced

Do yourself a favour - do not buy any mass-produced pies in South Africa (sadly I can't mention names). Buy a Peregrine pie. No "filler" added, just generous quantities of filling and a lovely crust. Very highly recommended. Lots of other quality fare on offer too.

I was early for a meeting so stopped in for coffee and breakfast. Service was great, prices reasonable and I have been back twice and have experienced great service each time I visit. There is also a farm stall where you can purchase local preserves, bread, pies, etc.

Great food, nice variety in farm stall and gift shop on premises is GREAT!! Play area for kids, and four legged friends also has a "rest room". Definitely a must when you pass on the N2
