I have been visiting Peregrine Farm Stall since the age of about 7, whilst on route to family in the Cape (we lived in Sedgefield). It has always held a certain attraction, but lately it has really become one of my favourite spots. The reason for this being that they constantly reinvent themselves without loosing the Farm Stall charm. I... More

We passed this place on our way up the Garden Route and it was packed. On the way back it was an obvious stopping point before reaching Cape Town. It was a delight, serving excellent food and a well-stocked shop with a big selection. We found prices to be MUCH higher than in local supermarkets, even though the produces was... More

Absolutely beautiful rest stop serving amazing food & drink, the apple juice and pepper steak pies we brought here on our first pass ensured we stopped 3 more times. Stunning setting and fantastic local produce. If you are in the area stop here!

Well worth the stop to enjoy a sit down lunch or a take away home made pie. A bit more expensive than a garage pie, but absolutely worth it. Lovely gifts and crafts!

I stopped here with my family a few days ago for breakfast. It was great to see how the facilities have been upgraded over the years. I remember as a kid we always stopped here for fruit rolls. My 5 year old enjoyed the play area while we enjoyed a well prepared breakfast. Definitely worth a decent stop.

En route to the airport we specifically made a short stop here to get some homemade preserves and take away iced coffees. Staff seemingly were more interested in conversing with each other rather than attending to the needs of customers. The express take away outside the store could not make iced coffee and we were directed to the restaurant. After... More

The deli itself must be one of the best along a major highway. Stopping for a break, refreshments and the loo, the upmarket deli contains many irresistible yummies. Mostly home-made, anything from fudge, "koeksisters", cakes and sweets available. The springbok pie is a good home-made specialty, and there's a bakery section second to none in options and quality. You'll battle... More

Travelling to Stilbaai, we stopped at Peregrine for a quick breakfast. Although a tourist bus had also stopped, they gave us a table and the service was great. A good vibe and very good smiling service. The front of house lady was accommodating and looked after us with care :-) We ordered a breakfast which turned out to be delicious... More
