The Cyprus Wine Museum is a beautifully restored old stone building –once an inn. It operates as a museum, a cava and events venue. Here you can learn about the ancient methods of wine production, wine storage vessels, the different varieties of grapes, as well as enjoy a wine tasting. It is located in the village of Erimi. (Paphos road)... More

Staff is great, we had our guiding in Greek, the information was very informative and any questions we had were given detailed informative replies. We really enjoyed and and now we know how to choose our wines. We also tried the full package and the tasting with halloumi etc, we bought some custome made glasses to add to our bar... More

Not much to do in Erimi, but this wine museum is informative and well laid out, although a better tasting experience could be laid on.

Small building with some ancient mugs and pots. Boring as hell movie. Quite good degustation. If you are not really interested in wines it is not worth of your time and money.

Lovely little place and very informative. The video could do with a voice over, to me it was just photos of items around the museum. Enjoyed the tasting and even bought a bottle of the Commandaria wine to bring the taste home.

Following a sumptuous lunch, we visited the Cyprus Wine museum and was impressed by the grand building in the style of a castle. Then we had a tour guided by Francis Guy who explained in detail the history of wine through the centuries in Cyprus. Then the guided wine tasting with lots of info on the characteristics of wine. Especially... More

you are sat down to watch a 20 minute video of urns, jars and wine growing and then shown a map with the major vineyards and grapes and then told to walk around the displays (which takes 10 minutes). The 'wine tasting' is a bit shoddy though. One type of red, one white (tiny bit in the bottom of the... More

I visited this wine museum with my 12 year old daughter and a friend from Egypt, we opted for the €7 euro option which included an excellent introduction from Maria, there was also a 10 minute video presentation and some wine sampling at the end with some bread cheese and raisins. This price is very good value for money considering... More

A unique experience into Cyprus long and prestigious history wine history. Interesting cultural activities. I had the chance to go to one of the Commandaria Orchestra & Friends Chamber Music Festival concerts last October! Fantastic performance! Before the concert we had the chance to have a guided tour into the museum. I did now that Cyprus has such a long... More

What a fantastic place, Maria was extremely informative about the production of wine in Cyprus. She also gave us a great insight in to what you should be looking for from a bottle of wine, from the age of the wine to mastering the art of looking for the aromas from the wine. We certainly learnt a lot from this... More
