Kew Gardens is always a lovely day out what ever the weather but in the sunshine it is fantastic. Take a picnic or use the restaurants (not too pricey) for a relaxing day. It's big enough for you to find your own space....just be careful of the goose poop! Kids are free up-to 14 I think so not too expensive. More

You can spend hours here but you really need half decent weather. We where lucky enough to get that & it is so much bigger than i ecpected. Top tip is to go by train & use the National Rail 2-4-1 vouchers. Leaflets are at all manned train stations in the UK. More

Wonderful place. Spent a whole day and still feel as if I haven't seen most of it. It is comparable to Lost Gardens of Heligan considering it's located in one of the most populated cities on earth. A haven away from all the London smog and hectic pace. I would advise that anyone going packs lunch. There are plenty of... More

It was a piece of heaven. So exotic and colourful. It wasn't a sunny day, but all the beautiful flowers and trees made it shiny. Six hours weren't enough to visit all the area. More

I was actually born in Kew in Surrey in the 50's and spent huge amounts of time in Kew Gardens as my Grandfather was a gardener there. It is a fabulous garden to visit and gets better every year. You dont have to be a fanatical gardener to enjoy it, as there are so many things to enjoy, whether it... More

The best part about Kew Gardens, in my mind, is its natural state. It isn't the ultra-manicured, over-preened kind of garden we so often see. I was thrilled to actually spot wildflowers, dandelions, and other so-called "weeds" growing alongside trees and in between rocks. Instead of an obsession with herbicides and pesticides, these gardens are allowed to grow and prosper... More

Whoever says this is calm must be deaf. Kew Gardens is DIRECTLY below the Heathrow flight path. We entered the garden with the 11 am tour to get a guided look around. The planes flying over head, however, extremely low and extremely loud, made it nearly impossible to hear the tour guide. She pretended not to notice, and didn't stop... More

We went to Kew Gardens (easily reached by Tube) on a cold, sometimes showery day over Easter. We had a great day out. The gardens are huge, with wonderful vistas, beautiful trees and plants, and amazing greenhouses with a huge variety of exotic plants and flowers. We had a very happy - if cold - day, walking literally for kilometers... More
