Nothing there but good for a change

Sometimes visit here when we go to Weston , not a lot here apart from a holiday park and miles of golden sand (mud).

Weston is built on three bays and this one is at the northern end and by far the most quiet. Sand Point juts out into the Bristol Channel and it is possible to walk out to its end from Sand Bay. The bay itself has a few houses lining it and has not suffered from the explosion of new houses... More

If you like peace and quiet then this is the place for you. As elderly travellers we have repeated this experience several times. Our dog loves the dog friendly beach, and your within easy reaching distances for hustle and bustle should you want it. The commodore hotel is our choice for a comfortable stay, great food, nothing to much trouble... More

A lovely peaceful spot. It's proximity to Weston super Mare make it an excellent alternative to the tourist traps. A place to relax and stroll along by tge beach. Great tearoom at one end and Commadore hòtel the other. Locals like to walk their dogs.

If you want to go somewhere for a long walk that gives you peace and quiet, come here. Long flat beach, great views and seldom busy. We enjoy escape from the hustle and bustle of real life here, Great cafe halfway along also.(Sand bay tea rooms, see its own review)

If you want shops, bars and entertainment or need wheelchair access to the upper part of the promenade, then this is not for you but if you just like fresh air and long walks on the flat, this is a good place to come.

We're spoilt for choice in Weston when it comes to beautiful places to walk and one of the nicest has to be Sand Bay. We often take a friend's dog here as he loves to swim and frolic on the beach. It's particularly useful in summer when canines are barred from the main stretch of beach. For a change of... More

Sand Bay is situated along the Toll Road outside Weston-super-Mare and is the most beautiful beach you've ever seen. Many sand dunes with tufts of grass, and a view to die for! You feel you can almost touch the buildings on the Welsh coast in the distance across the Bristol Channel. Lovely walks around here, and you can stroll along... More
