What to do when you have a few hours to spare. Despite the poor access road, pray you have a clear run down the narrow access road. The walk to Sand Point and Middle Hope is well worth it for the great views you get once you reach the top.

The tea rooms are well worth a visit, although they had run out of alot of things when we ordered. However, we are flexible and ordered something different, the quality was excellent.

Nice quiet beach, but within an hour the children could not resist the lure of the mud / clay, and ended up caked in it. To be fair they had fun. But my washing machine nor shower will not be so happy. Free parking too is a great plus.

Moreover at low tide the shore gets muddy and extremely treacherous - not advisable for young children. The mounds of horse poo on the beach detracted further from... More

We were looking for somewhere that we could take our dog to so she could have a run around next time we came to Weston. There was a sign that said 'caution, sinking mud'....scary! I am not sure I would take my dog here.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Weston then Sand Bay is a good destination. A long beach which allows dogs all year with small dunes between it and the mainly quiet road. From the southern end you can cross into Worlebury woods which is undoubtedly the best dog exercising area in Weston. At the... More
