Caught the open top bus and enjoyed the ride to Sand Bay. Lovely unspoilt beach . If the weather was bad nowhere to go other than a small cafe

Travel around the headland from Weston and you will find a very quiet and peaceful beach with virtually no amenities except a very good pub

Plenty of room on beach car park and toilets near bus terminus also tea rooms. Open top bus goes into Weston every half hour in summer season and every hour winter season nice to walk along beach

We walked from Weston along the seafront, then via the Toll Road footpath to Sand Bay. Called at the New Castle for a lovely bowl of soup then walked the length of the beach and up and along to Sand Point. There are a number of WWII pill boxes to explore along the way. It was breezy but sunny with... More

Lovely walking in this area, including Sand Point and Middle Hope. The views are fabulous, with Cardiff seen across the water and the volcanic tuffs and lavas of Middle Hope. There is a walking route suggested on the NT website which takes in all the views. It's quite breezy up on the top and there are a few steep climbs,... More

If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of Weston then you only have a short trip to find the peace and seclusion of Sand Bay. Its lovely there providing the weather is good, and you can also walk up to the tops of the hill at the end of the bay, where you can get great views... More

This is favourite walk with the dog. He loves the freedom of the large mostly deserted beach. There is a very convenient car park to unload your dog or family . Very safe . Just to wander along the beach with your own thoughts is. Treat in its self. A big thumbs up from us. πŸ‘

Sand bay is more a nature reserve with fine walks through the dunes, but don't expect a sea side resort as that's not what Sand Dunes has to offer. If you like to hear and feel the wind and sea, catch glimpses of wildlife then this is the place to be.
