We walked along Weston seafront then along the path beside the Toll Road. Stopped for a good lunch at the New Castle then on to the Sand Bay Tea Room for a deserved cuppa. Then walked back the same way, a rewarding walk.

It you like a spot of beachcombing then have a mooch about on this beach. The sea looked as good as at any time I've seen the Bristol Channel and I have lived either side of it for all 60+ years. Plenty of dog walkers and most seem to clear up behind their animals but there are some who don't... More

Great place this time of year to take the dogs for a run. Not much else there though, a little barren and if you didnt know the area you would struggle to find it without sat-nav. Some serious investment could bring Sand Bay into the 2000s. although its ok as it is for what it is.

I love the peace and quiet compared to Weston, a lovely walk down the bay and back with my dog. Great dunes and woods for the kids to play in.

Easily reached not only by car but by Crossville Bus No 100, open-top in decent weather and free with a bus pass. Can walk for ages in moderate solitude and end up near bus stop at Sand Bay Café.

Lovely place to walk and cycle.a bit hilly on roads out. Can be very quiet. There are a few shops and a pubwhich serves reasonably priced meals.

Caught bus to sand bay - saw some nice views on way and passed through woods and pretty village. But when you get to sand bay there is nothing there! Got straight back on bus and returned to Weston. Glad the fare didn't cost much.

Huge stretch of coast which is largely natural and wild. Watch out for the mud when the tide goes out! Narrow road leading to free car park. Sand Point where steps lead up to a path which takes you out to the point, allow up to half hour each way and don't go in bad weather as path is close... More

This was a little find by myself and my partner as we always wondered where the buses went. Sandy bay is a quiet little place that is well worth the visit
