A quiet beach, good for walking.

This is a quiet beach, best for walking along the promenade towards sand point. If you enjoy a simple beach, plenty of fresh air and walking then this is for you.

Sand bay has not got a lot to do there but if you are going by car you can park at the car park at the end of the road at sand point and has a very nice walk between a selection of coves where you can site and look at the Bristol Channel.

We were staying at a caravan site at Sand Bay and found it a very pleasant place with a lovely sandy beach and a grass verge with paths along for you to walk in each direction. It seemed to be a popular place for people to walk their dogs. There is nothing really there apart from a tea room and... More

sand bay is a vast area of sandy beach, regularly used by locals to walk their dogs usually off the lead, if your dog is not calm and submissive can be a problem with a strangers dog. Good for a walk, not as nice as weston's main beach.

This is a very pretty, little known spot for a family walk if weather is good. Lovely views, varied terrain, pebble skimming, great for dogs, although a few sheep and cows around. Well sign posted and free car parking. Nice cafe on hand for refreshments.

Sand Bay is on the outskirts of Weston-super-Mare, so if you are visiting the area, make sure you take a trip to Sand Bay as the views are lovely! I recommend taking the open top bus as the views are lovely on the toll road. There isn't much there in terms of activities, and certainly no arcades/souvenir shops/traditional seaside shops... We love walking our friend's dog at Sand Bay and he always makes new canine acquaintances. The only drawback, as someone else pointed out, is the lack of toilet facilities. You can buy a coffee and use the ones in the tea room at quiet times but it gets so busy at mealtimes that this isn't an option Surely the... More
