Made my debut at the falls today. Beautiful day and amazing scenery. Well worth a visit if you are near by. Nice piece of Scotland heritage

Was really disappointed with our coffee stop on Saturday afternoon at this restaurant, don't get me wrong the setting is beautiful we were shown to a table but soon noticed that the staff were at sixes and sevens, there was no organisation at all, a waitress did come over and apologise for being so long telling us she had one... The view of the falls from the bridge over the river is worth a short stop. When visiting on a late afternoon in July we were lucky to see lots of salmon big and small trying to leap the falls but failing. The bridge has become a place where lovers affix padlocks to symbolise their attachment (Similar idea to the... More

We had a walk to them when we were there and was good to wind the clock back. A place when we were kids we went to and was still good to go back, scenery was great.

The food, service etc are all fine but it's the location we go for. Go on a sunny day, sit outside on the stoop and just relax. Gets very full on days like that so book ahead (As long as you have a crystal ball to know when it's going to be warm & sunny!!)

What a beautiful waterfall and we were told that sometimes, in the right season, you can watch the salmon leaping. Unfortunately there were no salmon to be seen. It is easy to get to, with a car park, and there is also a lovely restaurant/tea room nearby. Well worth the visit

I took a group there, the food was excellent, the service equally so. The only slight criticism I have is that they charged us for one person who didn't turn up because they had been taken to hospital, and in my experience taking groups to places in the area, they don't normally do that, but everyone in the party was... A popular attraction for locals and visitors to the Banchory / Royal Deeside area throughout the year. Whether it's to see the salmon leap or the River Feugh roaring beneath you in full spate, there is always a great photo to be taken. It is also a nice walk from Banchory village to the Falls. There is parking and a... More

A stunning location and the building is also lovely. Service can be a little slow and sullen. Food is of average quality - main courses look good but snacks less so. Cakes fabulous. Closed over winter.
