I visited here purely by chance as I was passing through. What a lovely spot. There is not an amazing amount of parking although there is a discreet tearoom located very nearby. If you time it right (as I did) you will actually witness the salmon leaping the falls whilst the herons simply sit and pick off the smaller stragglers.... More

Every visit to Deeside must include a short walk from the nearby carpark to the Falls of Feugh especially in the Spring and Autumn when you can witness the painfully slow progress of the Salmon climbing up the waterfall.

The waterfalls are dramatic particularly as we visited after heavy rain when vast quantities of peat coloured water was passing through, the usual white water created by the rapids was almost orange as it was churned through the rocks. Unfortunately we didn't see any salmon! There is a pedestrian footbridge over the water running parallel to the main stone road... More

Approx one mile outside Banchory lies The Falls of Feugh, making it a nice stroll from the village, giving you stunning views as you walk over the River Dee. Parking is also available very close to the Falls. What ever the weather the Falls is delightful, in fact when it's raining or the snows melting the better it is. The... More

This is a great place to watch salmon jumping upstream (albeit unsuccessfully!), and worth spending a few moments here to see it happen. There's a free car park around the corner. It's also a popular place for adding padlocks. Visited August 2015.

A most worth while spot to admire the force of a typical, brackish, Scottish river If you are lucky to be there at a certain time in the year, to also view salmon leaping up to their spawning grounds

Loved watching the salmon trying so hard to get up river. It is an easy walk from the town centre and a good cup of tea and scone at the nearby cafe made for a pleasant little outing

As we were in Banchory we went to see the falls as they are less than a mile away from the town. Very handy free car park close to the footbridge where you can see the spectacular falls.

Nice falls to visit. River thundering through the rocks. Padlocks also starting to be locked on like abroad

Beautiful falls!! You can walk over the bridge and take awesome photos. The fence over the falls is lined with individual locks, some with wedding dates and others with love notes on them. Very sweet. Wish I had known. I would have brought one myself. Well worth looking for these Falls
