Pinsla is a two acre artists garden and nursery in a picturesque Cornish woodland. We are one of the most peaceful gardens you will find, easily accessible and welcome dogs. We are open from the end of February until the end of October.

This wouldn't have been so bad if the website didn't claim that the "garden" had hard, level paths and that "most" of the "horticultural business" was accessible to disabled people. Had the website mentioned that it was practically impossible to push a wheelchair around ANY part we wouldn't have bothered. Maybe my definition of hard and flat differs from that... More

Dear Ormyskeptic I want to apologise again for the misunderstanding about the partial disabled access we have at Pinsla. We do have hard level paths rather than muddy or steep paths. Admittedly, they are quite bumpy, because of inset cobbles and gravel. Also, the profusion of plants and seed heads do lean into the paths by autumn making them narrow.... More

What a hidden gem. Truly a little piece of magic hidden in the Cornish countryside, very reasonably priced and easy to find, our little girls had a marvelous time exploring the garden down all the little paths and surrounded by English country garden flowers, bees and butterflies, and ties in with what we are trying to do with our own... As soon as I turned into the wooded car-park I knew I was in for a treat...but I had no idea how VERY good it was going to be. I spent a lot of time in the sunny, open cottage garden part, in July it was absolutely superb. However, when I started exploring the rest of this fascinating garden, I... More

Although small these gardens are so beautiful that they are well worth a visit. Try and go on a sunny day as the flowers are then spectacular.

We visited here purely because we walked the dogs at nearby cardinham woods and were intrigued by the reviews and comments on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! What an amazing place. It is a cottage style garden only about 1.5-2 acres in size, but if you like gardens you could easily spend hours here. This is not a big commercial... More

After visiting Hidcote and Snowshill, we found this extraordinary little gem where we saw plants in an ordinary scale garden setting. The nursery owner, Clare, couldn't have been more delightful, sharing plant names and propagation tips. The garden grounds are filled with imaginative, striking planters, gates, walls, arches and -- my favorite -- a gazebo with a ceiling mosaic of... More

Pinsla Garden & Nursery is a medium size garden, open to the public, more or less in the middle of Cornwall, just east of Bodmin. They tell us that the garden now is the result of about 30 year's work. It's one of the most imaginative medium size gardens I know, full of mature, attractive and colourful flora. The thing... We were told about these gardens by our B&B hosts three years ago and have visited them each year since on our annual holiday in Cornwall. Tucked away dwn winding lanes, the cottage garden is a riot of colour, and the wooded area is a delight to explore, with it's quirky art works everywhere. Teas and lovely cakes are served... More
