Meal ok but not great and not great value for money. The Decore was ok but sorry to repeat myself but not great and the staff did not appear to be enjoying their work.

Beautiful grounds with lots of nooks to explore. The only dissapointment is the tea rooms which served a very poor afternoon tea. The scones and cakes are all shop bought and very unappetising, such a pity as it could be as wonderful as the grounds. Still worth a visit.

Last Saturday afternoon we attended the'Music for a summer afternoon' concert at Adlington Hall, mainly because we had never been inside the Hall only attended functions in the Hunting Lodge. What a delightful surprise. Gordon Stewart, the renowned organist, gave an excellent performance on the famous Adlington Hall organ, and we had a cream tea in the interval. Pity about... More

I've attended more than one wedding here and one even which did the service here. Great grounds for photos. Lots of parking. I've also been to many of our works staff dos here. The Hunting Lodge which caters does a buffet meal which is plentiful and tasty. The staff are pretty helpful and friendly though I've never been impressed with... More

Adlington Hall's core business these days is clearly as a wedding venue, conference centre and the provision of dinners for largish groups of people, so if you decide to visit, don't expect it to be "visitor-focused" to the degree that is the case in National Trust properties. But the hall and grounds are now open to the public from mid-April... More

Attended the Plant Fair last weekend, 10 May and took advantage of the guided tour of the gardens. The history of the planting was surprising and interesting, the guide ( chief groyndsman) was engaging as well as informative. The star of the show was most definitely the bluebells, an absolutely stunning carpet of undisturbed bluebells in the wilderness garden, a... More

Everything about this place from the setting and stunning decor was beautiful, but what really stood out was the service! We were here for a wedding and Lesley, one of the managers I presume, was outstanding! She immediately sorted us out with lunch as we hadn't eaten and was on hand to cater to any requests throughout the evening meal... More

Wow! What a response, thank you so much. We couldn't have written a nicer one if we'd have done it ourselves and we look forward to welcoming you back for Afternoon Tea. More

We arrived at Adlington Hall on Sunday afternoon. As the property doesn't open until 2.00 we drove into a car park to wait, along with lots of other people. As we all milled around the gates which had a notice saying to enter at the main gates, an attendant eventually came and informed us that there was a charity garden... More

Thanks for your comments and the feedback about the signage for the NGS event. This is very useful and defintely something we will look to improve on next year. The smell is unfortunately caused by the septic tank and it is due to the direction of the wind and the recent run of hot weather - this mix of cirumstances... More
